This power snooker is actually not too bad and, crucially, works well as a TV format. Maybe snooker has found its 20/20.

200/1 to bash it up first time round this year. Just made the main draw. Was a good comeback too against Mark King who obv has a lot of experience in closing out matches. Really really good form too beating Mculloch, Pinches, Holt and King. That is a tough set of qualification rounds and he won the last two games 10-9 and 10-8 so clearly has some nerve for a 17 year old. |

Peter Ebdon in a rare streak of form too, won the other week and just taken out Alfie Burden 10-0. My first instinct was that must have been a walkover.

He is the same price with Corals, didn't seem worth depositing to get the 32pence they would let me have on  |

Was thinking he might be a fun one to be with on the spreads. Be interesting to see how they rate him after the draw is done as has done absolutely nothing all season before the Worlds, although clearly plenty of hype about his long-term ability.
