Tomorrow morning i go on holiday with my family for 12 nights - and the laptop is staying at home!!

This will be the longest i have gone without playing poker for 18 months.  In the summer i did take the computer on hols so that was not so bad

Just thinking about it is making very shaky!!!

All is not lost as i have taken cards and some chips so the hotel guests had better be up for it!!

Anyone else going cold turkey during the Xmas period??

In the meantime Happy Christmas / Happy Hanukah to all Blondeites and hope you all have a great new year.

Been good fun being part of this forum and whilst i have been on the periphery and not been able to give as much time as some it has still been a great laugh.

Special thanks to Tikay, Ironside and all the mods for putting in the hours and for making this such an excellent forum.

Thanks Tikay - my summer hols were spent on a certain boat so you can imagine that there was no getting away from the poker during that break!!!

This however will be a real test of how long i can live without poker...

I'm going to friends of mine for Christmas Eve and returning to them on Christmas Day, great setting, a farm seemingly in the middle of nowhere but still within the M25 circle. They have no poker software in their PC and I will be leaving my chips at home. Will I get cold turkey?, nah, I bought them a poker set for Christmas and as they follow their German tradition they open the gifts on Christmas Eve, Yippee.

OK I admit I know very little German, they don't use it either, they were brought up in Natal.

I nearly attempted to learn the language but the motivation was lacking.
