At the moment nothing is sorted.
Potential updaters are there in the pipeline if the funds can be gathered. Anyone fancy contributing? 2 x £100 would get us there. PM me if so, ty.

Just to expand upon that, the cost has come in at about £450-£500, but some pledges have already been made, leaving the shortfall that Chompy described above.

Not sure Paul, Chompy is your man for that question

Background is a full scale two person/four day GUKPT update costs around £1400. We haven't been in a position to do those for about 18 months. Firstly IPoker problems and then not earning enough yet with DTD for our share to afford it, even on a one man basis.

Previously Chompy and a few others have funded occasional updates and he offered to do so again, which is very generous and previously I've done around 20 days updating voluntary to try and keep the GUKPTs going, but no revenue uptick meant I had to draw a line under that eventually.

Luton is the cheapest GUKPT to do as, as you say, using local people means no travel or hotel expenses.

and I, and I think many, miss GUKPT updates from the site. So it makes sense to try to do it if we can

Both Adrian and I will do it, myself with Adrian for the first two days and then leave Adrian to it for the weekend and we'll do it for less than the usual rate.

and I think Adrian will be good too, and we always need new updaters.

Luton have given us permission to update, just a case of Chompy getting the funding together, hence this thread.

DTD, who will have some 10 or 12 players in the Luton GUKPT, have just rung me & donated £200 towards the Live Update. Phew......

Don't forget, DTD have a SUPER Satellite (5 seats I believe) THIS Thursday at DTD, 9pm, plus another 5 seat Online Super Sat this coming Sunday.

So, TEN SEATS up for grabs.

The one they did in Bolton wasn't too bad.

Well we hope so. We are still considerably short of the cost, so yes, the £25 would help.

blondepoker are not currently able to fund Updates, so the shortfall is coming from donations.
