1st hand insta fold

2nd hand check call the turn, no pair up on river give it up, plenty of valu in the check call if u sure he will pay u off if board pairs

thing is i check flop so he doesnt have to have str8? he could even have 2nd set or betting his draw and perhaps from his POV it looks like im drawing to a flush or summat when i have top set so i can be easily bluffed ?

yup, but very dangerous board, i think the check call was the right thing to do on the flop, but u never got any info from him......it depends a lot on ur opponents image, but me i check call the turn and re-asses, come the river.  you have the redraw to the flush ok only 10 high. but never do i raise here, ur only getting called if "he has it"

always tricky spots flopping a set in omaha with a str8 there.

Hand 1 easy fold

Hand 2 I'd be raising the flop. I'd usually lead but seeing as we've checked take the opportunity and raise pot.

As played I'd check turn to let him lead again then head straight for that pot button.

I disagree that hand 1 is an easy fold. vs a 50bb stack (who we assume probably isnt very good) then theres a ton of junky clubs and Txxx hands he has, plus if you factor in how often he folds the flop, which he will do suprisingly more often than you think the play is profitable imo. having said this I played a bit of 100 6max recently i was defo a bit overly spewy in these spots. But i think its a really common mistake in PLO for people to drastically undervalue made hands (even 1p hands) on these textures.

Hand 2 I would be much happier to bet lead this flop, by taking such a passive route with a hand that is so strong your leaving yourself susceptable to making an incorrect fold at a later point in the hand and this will cost you loads long, plus this is no where near being a spot where you only get action from nutted hands, there are tons of hands that will pay off at least two streets, plus this deep there is no danger to inflating the pot even without the nuts as the board pairing is likely to kill your action completely. If called id happily lead this turn again.

As played probs just c/call turn c/raising wont achieve much here, id c/call all board pairing and heart rivers, really not sure on a blank Id defo c/call occasionally but id probably fold, but its such a delicous spot to barrel again if he's been betting diamonds and blockers id hate myself for folding.

Hand 1 I'd fold and feel like a nit, don't hate peeling though.

Hand 2 Bet flop and keep betting. c/c turn is fine and best for your range but I might lead in a vacuum if I think he's going to raise light a lot, which is perfectly reasonable given how the flop played out.
