Paul Scholes is the best midfielder to have ever played in the premiership.
Behind Keane and Vieira imo. And Makelele for me personally but i'm obviously being biased there and hard to argue with the difference in time spent in the league. |

yeah he'd say "Count my medals..." Just laughable that Shearer could be considered in this context. LOL at that being the measurement for how good a player is.The fact Scholes has never won player of the year shows how underated he is imo. |

Scholes is different class. For me not ahead of Keane or Vieira but he's a different player and is still dicking on almost everyone else. I prefer Gerrard but then I'm a red, ldo. He's miles more influential than Giggs - it's not even close.
It's tough to say if he's the best Englishman ever in the EPL. He's only scored more than 15 goals in a season once in his life and cant tackle for toffee but then he's from an era that pre dates the holding midfielder in England so for me he's right up there. In today's 4-2-3-1 era he'd be amazing just off the front man. On a side note how good could he be as a holding midfielder as shown at times last season?
England have missed Scholes so much.
