Ok 1st hand is from the ftops 6max $240 event. We have 7.4k and open to 525 at 100/200/25 utg with KJs. Table has been pretty inline so far. Shortie jams the button for 1100. BB (8k) calls.  we should?

Second hand. FTOPS ME. Utg (7k) opens small pre antes (think level 3). Has been pretty active/bad so far- saw him check jam 67dd on A92dd in 3b pot v pot cbet. We flat AdKs otb (8k). BB (been relatively incative, big winer on opr) peels (7k). Flop  Ah. UTG cbets 2/3 pot, cant recall exactly but i think 600 into 900 or so. we should?

"Utg (7k) opens small pre antes (think level 3)"

I was trying to work out what to make of a level 3 thinking player raising small for quite some time. and then I read

"Has been pretty active/bad" and realised what a fool I had been.

Hand 1 I call - I used to think ppl were quite honest postflop in these situations but not so sure now

hand 2 not sure might min raise

hand 1 - see this flat with AA alot nowadays - id probs flat and fold unless i smash the flop - if the BB is bad id iso jam

hand 2 - if he is bad im raising pre to iso him- as played happy to get it in probs (raise to commit). That said if we have the button we could flat

im guessing you flat number 2 and the blind raises though.

guess pre is determined by your range here, if you are iso raising the fish much and there's a winning player in the blinds who hasnt been active yet, then it's perfect for him, so I prob 3bet to induce a 4bet from either the spewtard or the winning inactive player.

Never folding hand 1 pre. We're getting a bazillion to one in position against the flatter with a hand that flops well and we're still 35bbs deep.

Hand 2 I raise the flop, I expect to have the best hand here almost always and if he's bad we're happy to get it in

I'm not sure I understand.  Those advocating a fold in hand 1 - really?  For what reasons?

You're in position, it's 575 more to call and there's 3,000 in the middle already and you close the action.

I call.
