Back for more punishment

Matches this weekend on Xmas Eve mostly

I don't normally like backing teams with a supremacy of more than 10

but this week Cincinnati over Buffalo at 12 and Denver over Oakland at 14 should both cover these spreads. I particularly like the Cincinnati one, fighting like mad for play off position at home against a poor team

Elsewhere the Bears should beat the Packers in frozen Green Bay but are priced at 7. This should be low scoring, but the Chicago offense remains a concern

Finally I feel New England in the Meadowlands against the Jets should win by more than the 7 point spread, and Miami should beat Tennessee by more than  6

Miami at 6

A word of warning from past experience. Don't be fooled into backing teams that have to win against teams with  nothing to play for. The oddsmakers know the public will want to bet on the must win teams and shade the handicap accordingly. In fact, some of the best bets of the season can often be found at this time of the year by backing motivated teams eager to spoil the playoff ambitions of seemingly better teams.
