Lewis Harper is the first man out this month.

I arrived after the flop had been dealt, with Sinem Melin betting 650. Short-stacked Harper then shoved for about 2700, and Melin made the call holding three clubs , a sneaky bottom two pair ahead against Harper's . The turn and river came and , giving Melin the pot and sending Harper to the rail 10 minutes after the tournament started.

In early Das action, he raised UTG to 150 and got half the table calling, only for BB Lawrence Townsend to bump it up to 750. Das was the only caller and the two saw a flop of . Townsend fired out 200 into the pot of 2100 and Das called. The turn was the Two Clubs and Townsend again fired 600. Das tanked but eventually passed.

Not often those two words are in the same sentence.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

There's a "debate" going on over at table 22, and it's all related to Wales vs England and who's better after the APAT Team Championships last week. Which Wales somehow won. And England came last.

Whilst the "debate" rages, Chris Alexander flopped the proverbial canine dangly-bits holding on a flop. He bet flop and turn, only to see the board be completed by . His opponent, the brilliantly named Anon, then bet 1600 on the river which lead Mr Alexander to complain loudly and fold face up.

I will be keeping a close eye on this table

27   1   Carl Eglintine
27   2   Kyriacos Dionysiou
27   3   Daniel Morgan
27   4   Brian Goddard
27   5   Lawrence Townsend
27   6   Brijesh Das
27   7   Anthony Poole
27   8   Gareth Mitchell
27   9   Sabah Aris

Combustible line up including Greek Jack, DMorgan, Britsh Gas and a gentleman called Tony Poole. Mr Poole is a builder in the Home Counties.

Poker players in Luton have devised a system. One spots him in a cash game at Luton and sends a text, this gets sent on until they all simultaneously converge on the last space in the car Park and run tongues lolling towards the waiting list.

The man has game. and Money.
