More bizarre dealing. The short stacks should be attempting to push for more money here. The 4th place guy is only getting 3k more than he was guaranteed anyway but is missing the chance for potentially 20k more.

1 - £26,374 - £20,295
2 - £15,419 - £17,323
3 - £9,251 - £10,783
4 - £6,492 - £9,128
It always seems that the big stack gets the best of it as they are also handed the "title" as well. Don't forget if the Big stack had a disaster and went out 4th (however unlikely) he'd potentially lose £20k and £13.5k from the guaranteed deal. They have the most to lose not the shorties.
Short stack actually got £2,636 more than if he had been knocked out in 4th anyway. Where an extra £17,246 was possible or £19,882 if the deal was refused. He gets 7.5/1 on his £2,636 if he gambles. Also he only needs to ladder up 1 place if they play on and he's guaranteed more than the deal.
If I was him I would not settle for less than £12k. If not agreed he may as well just shove in blind every hand and see what happens. At the blind levels they were at, it would only have to go un-called for a few hands for him to have significantly more chips.
