OP agreed that he read the T&Cs and the T&Cs are ambiguous. I don't think it matters what the FAQ says as he could easily plead ignorance of them and say he thought he would be OK as he has no endorsements and that is all the T&Cs mention.

CAR HIRE 3000 and Cs

These terms shall apply to all contracts for the provision of our services to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions. No conduct by TravelJigsaw  shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of any other terms. Acceptance of the services or signature on any agreement shall be deemed conclusive evidence of your acceptance of these terms. TravelJigsaw may change the terms from time to time and you, the renter, are advised to check the web site to consider any changes to the terms which apply to you. Your hire of any vehicle is subject to the terms and conditions of vehicle hire imposed by the car hire company

ALAMO UK and Cs

Driving Record Eligibility

Rental will be subject to a verification of driving record. All renters/drivers are subject to having their driving records and licences checked. If a renter/driver does not meet the applicable rental requirements, including the guidelines for driving licences and driving records, they may be denied a rental. Alamo is not responsible for the failure of any renter/driver to qualify for a rental under these requirements or guidelines.

For rentals in the UK, rental privileges are denied if a driving licence is suspended or his/her record includes, but is not limited to, one of the following:

    * Endorsements commencing UT
    * Any endorsements commencing IN10 in the past four years
    * Endorsements commencing DD/DR (one only) in the past five years
    * Endorsements CD40 / CD50 / CD60 / CD70 in the past five years
    * Any licence with two or more periods of disqualification
    * Any other conviction with a period of disqualification of 6 months or more in the past five years

You pay CarHire 3000 so your contract is with them, you may be able to argue that you thought their and Cs superceded those of Alamo UK.
