Definitely bet the turn, AQ is nuts there!

Don't think you're good very often on this river though, I'd fold as played. I'm bet/folding the turn against an unknown

reads on villain and your perceived image should've been posted.

in a vacuum, i dont mind your line. checking turn for pot control oop and bluffcatching. as played you prolly have to call river.

obv. betting turn has its merits ie getting value and protecting against draws and other metagame considerations but again it depends on villain and reads on them.

No reads on villain, I have literally just moved to table and this is my first hand since big double thru on other table.

Dan, my thoughts on the turn was  I wasn't sure what hand I was still beating that would call bets, hence I went for f
Check call 2 streets to get value from his missed draws

The only reason for not firing again for value would be either because we think that sets and AJ make up the majority of his flop calling range. Against an unknown I'm not sure why you want to be gunshy here with AQ. You're really deep so his preflop range includes any suited ace, maybe A9o+. He might be floating the flop with KQ, KJ, he could be calling to re-evaluate the turn with 55-99. Any hearts, connectors and probably 1gappers. You're crushing his flop calling range and only JJ and AJ got there.

There are just so many hands that we're crushing with one card to come and people don't like folding. You're deep stacked so you shouldn't be afraid to barrel imo. People call hella light in these spots. When you revert to check-calling you can induce bluffs but we don't know that this will happen since we're readless. By check calling down we value town ourselves pretty hard when we're beat. Every time he gets there you pay him off. In spots like these I think that bet/folding is waaaay better than check/calling vs most villains and especially readless. You give your opponent the chance to make far bigger mistakes by bet/folding than you do by check/calling imo.

I never would, can't really see any argument for it at all readless
