I am extremely good at reads, as a live pro.
Call he had KQ off.
Close (but misinformed).
I called and said "I've got two pair" and showed my cards. I asked him "You've got the straight, haven't you?", and he nodded and said "Yes" and tabled
!!! The dealer then had to explain that he didn't have a straight.
Who said the cash games in Vegas were easy?

You win a pint for guessing the hand (or for being able to read)

I hope you kept 2 separate piles of chips so you could use Stu's for situations such as this.

Villains stack size could majorly change this but assuming that he covers...
Against weak passive players that seem to be pretty common in these games, check pre is definitely the way to go. By raising here the most likely outcome is that you get a big pot when you're out of position with a hand that needs to flop pretty well to stand any heat.
Flop lead should be bigger too since we're looking to get it in vs Ax hands and even the ones that aren't stacking off, they're calling the flop for sure. I'd bet something like $48. As played the 3 shouldn't really change anything especially if you keep firing. He's certainly not going to put you on any 5x hand so if he liked his ace on the flop he probably still likes it. Your betsize of 80 into 130 is fine imo. So the pot is now 290 and I think you have the best hand almost always. If you're both deep I can't see him not raising the turn with a straight. Theres really no other way he's gunna get stacks in.
Definitely calling as played but I think I prefer a half pot river lead for 150. If he liked his ace on the flop and the turn he's probably not gunna fold for half pot but I think he might if you bet much bigger. His river betsize to me looks like a scared aces up with A3 being the most likely imo. A6 is definitely possible but in answer to the OP, no I don't think he has a straight here very often at all.

All the way to vegas and the man comes back with one story.
Is it about strippers, beers, good times in general?
No its about a hand of poker.

I already told them that, I enjoyed it, but I need at least one person who is not completely addicted to poker. Mr Phillip's I wrongly thought based on previous trips away, may have been able to leave a poker table. I was wrong.
Me and Mr Pie have discussed going in early July for a week if you fun guys wanna get sheared?
The plan we had was one WSOP event, and the rest of the time any poker played would result in you having to pay for the other persons flight upgrade to upper on the return flight.

That's how we roll
Not playing the main event, just not knowing the dates!
Later on the better, as I want to go back to Marmaris end of May.
Just want to play a $1k -$2k event.
You interested in going around that time?

To be fair, I was only playing because you were at that table...
