Not sure if you're aware, but you must have a signed syndicate agreement to keep the tax man at bay if you win. If you don't have one, the person who claims the prize receives the money free from tax, but then the transfers to the other syndicate members is classed as taxable income (the tax man regards it as a gift, if no syndicate in place). I'm not saying it needs signing before, but just bear in mind that you need to get together afterwards before you make any claim to all sign it, date it pre the draw date and have it signed by 2 witnesses!
