I had a tonka truck, remember the ads? The toughest toy in the world apparently...My play with the Tonka truck consisted of throwing it down the stairs to prove it wasn't that tough.
I was wrong, and got into loads of trouble as I ruined the wallpaper down the stairs...

Listen Mad, laugh if you like, but you ain't THAT far wrong.
We went on a school outing to the Panto, & we all got a brown paper bag. Inside it was an orange, a packet of spangles (whatever happened to them?) and a Christmas Cracker. And we were delighted with that!
And all joking aside about "in my day", but for Christmas, I always got a tennis ball. To a young kid, i those days, a tennis ball was THE NUTS. You could play SO MANY games with a tennis ball, either alone, or with mates in the street. It started off all lovely & fluffy, eventually ending up completely threadbare. They were beter when they were threadbare. They never wore out, either, great value.
Happy days.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Oh yes, walnuts too!
And we never used the tennis ball for tennis, tennis was for posh folk & cissies.
We played football, "fives" - for HOURS - "he", "it", practised bowling against an imaginery wicket on the side of the house - I was Fred Trueman or Alec Bedser - "penalties" - I was Billy Wright, dribbling with the inside & outside of the foot. Jeez, you could not do better than a tennis ball.
