Keith do you mind if I tactically late reg for this? - seems to work better for me starting once a load of the early donks have busted. No probs if you want me to play from the start.

I didn't claim it to be strat. I rarely play online - a handful of times a month. however, when i've played this tournament in the past I've had a higher cash rate when I've late regged - it's a personal thing, and nowhere have i claimed it's an optimal strategy. what is it with people wanting to have a dig at people that aren't 'great players' at any opportunity.
pleased to have given you a good 'lol' though.

sigh plz relax. your using short term variance to cloud longerm +ev decisions. Course you want to be in from the start in this comp to clean up the dead money.
Im not having a go at your playing at all, since i didnt say anything about your game, "highly strung much"? but it did give me a lol since you've been playing years, are intelligent, yet made a big fundamental error before a card was dealt.

yeah I probably am a bit highly strung atm. just winds me up when people want to offer an opinion on stuff but do it it a 'lol how bad is that' way, especially when it's not invited. i'm purely a recreational player, just having a bit of fun and I prefer joining these games later, rightly or wrongly from an EV point of view. If Keith had said he wanted me to play from the start, then that would have been fine, but I doubt he was offering these stakes with a view to it being a big money making venture.

TBF, the highlighted above explains your thoughts regarding late reg more than the first post did.

You teach players pretty regularly so I thought you already knew this, but not all brains work the same and not all players are pros.

That's a fair opinion, rather than a fact.
I make a habit of joining some (not all) Online Tourneys an hour or so late, as personally, I find the early Levels far & away the toughest to "play". And you know I don't have much of a game, but I make money year on year, albeit small beer compared to you Big Boys. For players like me, a bit "one-paced" you might say, & fishing in shllower waters, we don't have the skills to navigate past the minefield that is the early Levels full of stations. For you, maybe, yes, for me & some others, maybe more pedestrian than you, no.
PS - I forgot to congratulate you on your $50k bink the other day - very well done you. I will get to the Thread in due course (if I can still find it) , as I wanted to ask a few questions about it. Bear with me, it's on my list. Anyway, well done.
