WTF happened here?

I wish I could reply as eloquently as Tom did yesterday, but I cannot.

It grieves me terribly to see two friends of mine falling out, it must be how a Dad feels when his kids have a barney.

I've known & 100% trusted both Camel & Sofa since long before blonde was ever thought of, & I trust them equally. Neither would ever do me wrong, & I'd snap-loan both of them money without a 2nd thought if the need arose.

Sofa is the original loveable rogue. I cannot imagine a soul on earth who would not adore him if they met him just once, he's the funniest, sharpest, wittiest guy (& crap poker player) you could ever wish to meet. If I were in a bit of trouble, & needed a good friend I could trust to help me through, those two would be on a very short list. If Sofa &, say, a Table comic like Evil ever share a poker Table, go watch & listen, you'll never have more fun.

He's offered to sell me car plates several times. He said he'd do it at cost, & he would. It would not bother me if he turned a profit on the deal, that's how business works,  but he would insist on doing it at cost.

I hope it all cools down, it's just the written word coming across wrong. If Camel & James ever meet, they'll soon become big muckers. That's nailed on.

Both have been terrific friends to me over many years. This thread won't change that, but I wish the thread would just end..../////\\......

PS - Draw us a picture of hippozebrarhinoceroaffe please James. Thery'll all know you'd mad, then. Oh, & give Tighty a break, please, it's not fair on him. Do as you're told, right?

Nothing wrong with what he is doing Smiley it is sometimes the manner in which sofa expresses himself to others that can confuse people. I noticed you were quick to call people names or threaten them when the best thing to do is ignore them. Some people if not the majority think personal numberplates are for knobs, fair enough they wont be buying plates from you Smiley

Maybe because you are an illiterate plump Welsh tosser?

PS - How long since you quit boxing? You ever been in any fights since then, outside the ring, like? I'd love to see a picture of you when you were a boxer.

No clique at all

a number of groups of close friends, you are going to get that after 5 years

Suggestions that different people are modded differently are completely off the mark

to use the example quoted above

Mantis wrote a post calling someone ugly. This post was certain to get a reaction. Absolutely certain given the context and the personalities involced

The other person replied calling Mantis a c***

That post has to be removed

Mantis' post that is trolling for a reaction has to be removed to be entirely fair

Mantis disagrees, but it is completely even handed modding. Our call, not his.

As to your example, you were trolled. The post was removed. Several of yours that referred to this were removed, especially the one that called him a c***

Posters were warned in PMs. We try not to ban unless we REALLY have to. Stuff you posted earlier in the thread was not removed when it really should have been, so as to try and be even handed

If said poster, as you once did, wants to call a mod a c*** and all sorts of names in a PM that is going to lead to a ban every time. No mod, including me, does this with much of their time to be abused by anone, including you

Happy to debate this all afternoon as I am on a train to Cardiff. Feel free.

Yeah, I completely disagree with you. When I viewed that thread I read ridic accusations and comments aimed at a female member. Just like this thread I thought it was out of line to try and make an innocent look bad so I wanted to offer a few words in her defence. It's obv that people use facebook to find out what other people look like, so I said if "a girl" sees a picture of "a guy" making sure to objectify my comment to minimise any offence caused. It did need to be said though because it is obvious. But you decide my motivation is to troll for a reaction and censor me. That wasn't my motivation but obv nice to hear you see me as a troll.

Now go to the Live Poker Etiquette thread and tell me who's trolling for a reaction? A clear and blatant troll for reaction remains up on the board. But wait? You just said you delete posts that troll for a reaction? No you don't. You delete posts depending upon the reaction they receive and that is an entirely different thing. If other people blow up I get censored but if I remain calm in the face of trolling the trolling can stay. That is modding people differently and it is as plain as day. I think if you react to a post by calling somebody a c*nt you should be banned. Then you wouldn't need to lock all these threads and delete posts which is to the detriment of everybody. No clique at all? Sure.

Live Poker etiquette thread. Agree with you, hadn't opened it and when i did I removed the post

As to the rest, you are simply incorrect. You have a bee in your bonnet and a chip on your shoulder about it.

The mods do a good job, imo, and certainly try their best. Some members, you included but more so a lot of those who frequently rib at you , make it trickier than it should be

I agree the mods do a good job and I am grateful for their time. However, if you give one word of feedback it is dismissed out of hand and told you have a chip on your shoulder. Sure, I'm simply incorrect. But you snap agreed with my example...so perhaps my point is worth further contemplation as there are plenty more examples. Last night I wrote out a post for the sofa thread pressed submit and the thread was locked. Bear in mind my posts can take some writing. Next I wrote out a post for another thread pressed submit and that was locked too. Then just a regular post of mine was deleted because somebody else used bad language. That's what I've got a chip on my shoulder about Richard. My experience of Blonde is hampered by these people causing threads to be locked and getting regular normal posts to be censored. Why not just ban these people?  BTW the reason you hadn't opened the other thread was because I didn't react to the blatant trolling.

Sofa, did I read right that were offered 12k for the flushy plate, refused it and are now happy to accept 3k from flushy?
