The way I would do it...

1) Set an entry fee for the tournament. Say $25 or something so it is affordable. Have everyone send the money to someone to keep hold of the cash.

2) Standard knockout format.  Set some brackets up and draw the players.

3) For each round give the players a week to complete their games. The two players can then take it upon themselves to organize their game. They can agree a time and use the stars software to setup their tournament and then announce the time in the thread. If neither player has the ability to do this then a designated person will set the game up for them and give them the passwords. The two players can also agree the buyin for the game. I dunno what the minimum is but have that as the base value but the players can play for higher stakes if they wish.

4) Go go go

The advantage of doing it this way is all the games will be played at different times with the times announced on the forum. Players can play at times convenient to them. And with the times being announced people from the forum can login and watch. Also, due to the buyin of the game being different than the buyin of the tournament players can play for whatever stakes they like without affecting the prize structure of the tournament.

Cf seems to know what he is talking about so i would pass the buck Jack.

PS $25 is a bit rich for me based on the fact that i am crap...willing to give $10 away tho.

Side bets are always good Wink

I like the idea. Im in

CF talking sense, set up a new thread IMO, set a deadline for entrants to confirm, and people snap ship the money then they locked in. Select a suitablke escrow for the money (flushy seems like an optimal person) and then go

Im happy to have some overal last longers with anyone to juice the game up Smiley

defo in for this. set buyin is much preferred to deciding on how much to play for each leg.

Can't play 28th. I break up on the 21st and don't go back until the 5th.

Any poker between these dates will be in the live environment and include copious amounts of alcohol.

Happy to look after the cash for you lot though.

COuld do both in a way.

Find a network that has 1c/2c cash games. Have a set fee like CF's then have a group stage, each player sits with $2, no reloads, then winner takes all.
