Against losing reg that likes to 3bet alot. Started barrelling alot but recently been checking behind turns/rivers. First c/r of the whole match which has been around 150-200 hands. Picked off three bluffs when he had bet $12 into $16 on river. Thoughts here, b/f, c/c/, c/f, b/c, c/r.
Seat 1: cusetown315 ($158.35)
Seat 2: pads1161 ($191.75)
cusetown315 posts the small blind of $0.50
pads1161 posts the big blind of $1
The button is in seat #1

Not sure why you're not 3betting here but this should be a 3bet every time. Flop c/r is fine/standard. I like the turn bet sizing and I'd bet/fold $40 on the river

Hey Dan.
I was 3betting a huge amount (Card rack) and he was folding a super huge %, havn't got HEM up, but he wasn't defending my 3bets at all. I thought it was quite a good hand to call and play the streets as we were starting to get deeper.
Thing with bet folding, what hands do we expect to pay us off? I thought his range was a combination of flushes and showdown cards (8x 1010 and perhaps some 2 pair hands) but I thought my range was either sets/straighsts/flushes, so he would fold all his showdown hands? Or is this a bad way to think of it?

You think he calls with two pair? My c/r range on the flop is probably a mixture of combo draws, j10, spades, sets and two pairs. I surely don't bet 89/58 on this turn/river? So my river value range should be flushes/straights/sets, the latter perhaps not too often, so he needs like j10 minimum to call? (which beats us)

Yeah I'd 3bet alottttttt, when I had peeled I almost always had showdown kinda hands. He had c/r once on k23 and I'd gave up. He had made it $12 after I cbet $4. What do you think is a good c/r size and river size?
I was going for $12, $25 (into $29) and then either $63 or $91 (into $79) depending on river cards.

Did you consider check calling. It allows him to bluff off. If he has nothing he won't call your bet and gives you more chance to get to showdown.

But I thin he very rarely has air, he either has bluffcatchers/flushes imo, so c/c would probably only be calling against better hands. This is my thought process anyway.

I agree that c/c is the worst option

I would warn against giving losing players this much credit. People love hero calling and you're almost never going to get bluff raised by a losing reg

yh imo ur options are
b/f - c/f - c/c in that order and I think c/c is bad

No i agree he'll fold the majority of the time, but I also think his range lies pretty heavily in the direction of 1/2p hands and he'll only need to hero us a pretty small % of the time to show a decent profit I bet/folding i think - assuming he never raises as a bluff which i think he never will.

I agree that bet/fold is the best line. Check/folding isnt great but much better than c/c or anything else. How much is a good amount to bet here?

Usually id b/f the river, however on this board texture it might be better to c/f.
