Our local news at 6pm featured a vet reporting large numbers of dogs and cats being admitted with salt poisoning

The salt used to grit the roads gets in their paws and when home they lick their paws and get an overdose of rock salt

They can get an extreme reaction,  from being sick ,up to kidney failure.

The news report advised owners to wash their pets feet after walkies.

So check your pussies paws before bedtime

There's a joke there somewhere but I can't quite figure it out.

by the looks of your profile picture ,You had better check your tummy and tackle for rock salt

Too much salt may make your doggy tackle fall off.
