Main is TOMORROW. Driving back from San Diego in a couple of hours. Gonna have a quiet dinner with the boys then early night, maybe swim/workout early am pre tournament. Sounds ideal.

This break in SD was such a good idea, feel so good about the main now Smiley

How long is the drive from SD to LV Alex, 2/3 hours?

GL tomorrow unless you're in a pot with Mitch Wink.

More like 4 or 5 if traffic is ok and in Southern California that is a rarity.

It was about 5 both ways. Pretty clear roads, though heading the other way was jam packed heading out of Vegas after July 4th weekend. Don't envy those stuck in that burning heat in the desert with barely any civilisation for hours!

Chilling by the pool about to do TR and get prep for main all sorted.

DAY TWELVE

Little one for one drop. Similar story to the $1500, was going really well, until 15 minutes before the end of day 1, when I got coolered for a big pot. Raised AKo, btn called, blinds called. K54ddx I cbet 1550 into 2900, btn flats, sb c/raises to 5500, I'm playing 13k total. Have to go broke right? Up against bottom set. Remember being pretty disappointed because it was such an amazing tournament, with 4800 entries, and according to many, the softest event of the series, was the last chance before the main event too. 0/5 for WSOP events this summer which is a shame since I only sold for one of the 1500s and punted the rest on my own dime so has been expensive.

Afterwards we all went to see "White House Down", almost an exact replica of "Olympus has fallen" a film we saw a few weeks ago in England. Both about a takeover of the white house. Both utter toss. Highlight include Jamie Foxx who plays the president, firing a rocket launcher out of a limo whilst being involved in a high speed car chase across the gardens of the white house.

Probably the worst day of the trip so far. Very much ready for a few days break in San Diego.

As things stand heading into the main event.

Mitch: First losing session out of 13 the other night, but a huge night last night means he's by far the biggest luckbox of the trip so far.
Stato: Cashed in the 3k and the one drop, but nothing big, has won decent overall at OFC, rarely loses at blackjack and hasn't lost a significant food flip yet as far as I can remember.
Keith: Won last 6 cash sessions, but lost all the ones before that and is down overall.
Me: Small winner in cash, decent winner overall in tournaments thanks to score early on, but done half it back since. Lifetime huge runbad at all nonpoker gambling continues with large losses at blackjack and craps.

Yeah, i think your position on the graph fairly represents you coming 4th in a 1k runner field.....

If I won a freeroll with 10k runners for $500, should I be higher than you?

It's about $ earnt.

It's easier to cash in the main for $30k than it is to come 4th in a $235 1k runner field. But its still represents more rungood to cash in the main for $30k doesnt it, cos you've made more money (if you have 100% of yourself obv).
