You supposed to be Uncle Alber off only fools?
No, I was a traditional elderly Mexican sailor. They used to tape food to their clothes in case they got stuck out at sea and were hungry.
Old Mexican sailors had sellotape? Here's me thinking it hadn't been around that long.

Sooooo, monster session yesterday. Played 15.5 hours, 10of which spent grinding the scoop as well as playing cash. Didn't fancy playing 1/2 and 2scoops at the same time so played 50/1 all day, got in a 400pound hole and out of it by the end which was satisfying. Got lucky in a massive pot with
vs
on
board for ~370bb pot. Ran pretty bad other than that.
Finished the scoop series down a little returning 81% of investments. Had some really good sweats and deep runs but you need such ridic luck to go that step further. I must've ran supergood to get 400th/18,000 yesterday in the 6max but the prize structures are such that I get a bowl for coming in the top 2%. Doesn't seem right....I don't know why they pay 3,000 out of 18,000. Surely 1800 or 2000 would be better?
Makes it really frustrating when such a deep run returns basically nothing. Got nastily coolered to bust, AK<AA in 6max like 30-40bbs deep, absolutely nothing I could do.
Anyway, enjoyed the run, had a good rail at DTD too, was a good atmosphere. Also, shippityship the £1k week, happy with that
Here's a pic from fridays party. (LtoR Keith, Keys, Me, Josie)
good effort on the fancy dress Keith and keys ...........Santa/uncle Albert ......must try harder

Sigh wrote out a long post but did a spaz somehow and it got deleted. Just cliffs now.
-Zizzi's - best Italian out of the Prezzo/Ask/Balla Italia chains imo
-Great game at Gala until 7am
-snap into £200 hole making an apparently bad fold with Aces then getting stacked by the same guy losing a £450 pot in a coinflip
-lose 4/5 preflop allins vs shortstacks. Get pretty tilted
-Get out of it, only to lose
vs
on
for huge pot which was so cold
-Broke even in the end, lol grindaments
Got really tilted by some of the etiquette on display last night. And not from Gala regs, from young guys coming in being complete dicks to fish, swearing loads (this one guy said "so fucking sick" about 20 times during the night, stacking him was vsatisfying), berating chinese fish for stuff like not folding a suited ace for £35 pre having already put £10 in. I mean, come on, it's gala, that's nothing!
I know it's kind of ironic me saying all that. But I'm really pleased to have almost 100% wiped this out of my game. That's definitely thanks to my mates and people on here, who had a right go at me for being a baby a few months ago.
Pretty interesting project starting tonight - this guy from Luxembourg who plays now and then in the 1/2 games at DTD, really wants to be good at poker and wants lessons. He went to Mitch first (i know, wtf?), but Mitch said no, but @ £50/hour I accepted and he's coming over for a 2 hour session tonight. Should be pretty interesting. I really like teaching, especially stuff I'm interested in, so I'll reckon I'll enjoy it.

He's a nice lad (if it's the same one, and I'm sure there aren't too many young lads from Luxembourg who play at DTD
), and seemed to play OK.
Still, if he's got more money than sense...

It is quite an ironic turn that your now the one pointing out etiquette problems. Really pleased for you though mate. Does really sum up how far youve come in terms of when you started playing poker. Proud of you xxx
