Lol glad things have been semi resolved amicably. I wouldn't want a scuffle or anything. Where I'm from these sorted of things would be sorted by a fencing match, first blood drawn wins. Wouldn't want anything so ghastly to go down.
Lol you men you would get your butler to do that sort of work for you :p

I can categorically confirm that this is simply not the case at all.
Thanks Tikay, we're entering the peak of the croquet season now in fact, reports from my Dad indicate the lawn is reaching its pinnacle. Alas, the croquet scene in Nottingham is somewhat sparse, not surprising really given how uncultured it is here.
My Mum bought a set for her house too, so that we would want to spend equal time at both houses when we came home for holidays etc. However it's one of the mini crappy ones that just doesn't compare to the Jacques set at my Dads. It's something though and it's the thought that counts. Mum has a really comfy double bed in the spare room whereas I only get a single at my Dads so that swings it back. However Grand Piano> Regular upright....hmmmmm

Women are like pianos. When they're not upright, they're grand.
