So coming back from Vegas has been a bit of a shock to the system, in many ways.
Almost every trip / holiday I've ever been on in my life I've in some way, been looking forward to coming home a bit. I'm not saying I wasn't looking forward to somethings - I was. Especially Hannah, as being apart from her for any length of time is hard, but also my friends who didn't come to Vegas like Sean, Jamie and PJ, Holly and the kittens, playing football as well as small things like playing at DTD and playing online.
However, I wasn't ready at all to come home from Vegas. I felt like I could spend another 3 weeks happily there, or even longer. I even day-dreamt about moving and living there someday! Leaving before the main event was very hard but I know how much it meant to Hannah and seeing her graduate was very special.
What I returned home to was horrible though. Within 5 minutes of sitting down digesting the post I had fleas crawling all over me. The post contained a speeding fine, 3 or 4 bills for various things, a letter reminding us we have to move out in 3 weeks (still not found a place to move in to!) AND a letter summoning me, Andy and Tom to court for not paying our council tax!
So on almost no sleep after heavy night out in Vegas, 10 hour flight and 3 hour drive back from Gatwick, I had to put my stuff back in the car and head off to a hotel. Cue the car battery dieing. Oh such cruel timing.
Very stressed about everything I've not been in the best of moods but things have perked up today. I sorted basically everything that had to be done, pest control have done a good job on the house, I've taken care of Holly and the kittens who had fleas, they've settled happily back in and I've paid all the bills and sorted things with the council (it was their mistake not ours fwiw). And found a lovely place for us to live next year, hoping to view it tomorrow. PJ is joining the team so it's going to be 4 of us next year grinding away. Looking at houses in West Bridgeford so hopefully no more robberys and no more worrying about my car getting stolen everytime I hear a noise at night!
Slightly stressed about money at the moment, as is everyone. Liquid funds are very low, have all my money online / in shares / in $$ cash so playing live cash is out of the question right now

Need to find someone to take a load of $$ off me but doubt there is demand in that direction at the moment.
So today I set the evening aside to grind. Before I left I got really into these 5handed cash games. My winrate at 50/1 is more that twice that at 1/2, so I'm being non-egotistical and recognising that my hourly is better there and taking the easy life and playing 4-6 tables winning at 9bb/100 which is an hourly of about 40 euros. I'm grinding to pay the bills!:
Pest Control: 2.5 hours
Water bill: 2.5 hours
Speeding fine: 1.5 hours
Council Tax bill: 10 hours
Petrol: 2 hours
So that's about 3 days work, so I'm gonna try and get those hours in and hopefully pay those bills.
DTD Degens LOST today, for the second week in succession. I guess we really do miss Andy, Simon and Mitch, though to be fair to us, our stand in goalie this week was nothing short of atrocious. No gloves. No diving. Just an absolute clown and responsible for at least 70% of the goals seriously. I'm sure if Stato or Giblin were in goal we'd have won. Nevertheless it doesn't reflect well on the non-Vegas team and I'm sure Mitch'll be ultra smug next week that we rely on them so much. I think we've slipped to 2nd in the league now
