When you're on the tele tables, do they actually wire you up to monitor your heart rate?

Anyway, I was watching some heads up best bits and no1 was Gus Hansen losing to someone and they both had 150 chips.  The other guy went all in on AQ (I think) Gus had Q4 or Q8 (doesnt matter  what the kicker was but it was low) and Gus's heart rate whilst he was debating what to do was only around 75 - earlier in big situations he was only at 65!!  The man is a rock.

I  was impressed anyway and wondered if they actually plug you in

I think for that comp they must have done.

On the every other hand i have seen his heart rate was in the 60's and lower, many others were in 3 figures.

But then i guess the buy in for that comp was less than the big blind in the 4k/8k game that he plays at the Bellagio.

My heart rate isn't even that low when I'm sleeping. I'm impressed.

The situation you are talking about was my mate Mel Lofthouse v Gus  in the Brit poker open where throughout the tournament his heartrate had stayed constant at about 65bp and one occasion  Mel reraised him and his blood pressure went quite high for him and actually looked like a normal person ,  Mel incidentently raised with her 6 2off  versus his q6 off but made him miss a beat

She also said that the heart rate monitors are not made for girlies with big boobs Wink  but thats typical Mel  haha

Oh and how fantastic is our girls team,  me aka thewoo, Jo Handman, Mel, Jen and Ginger  come on boys!!
