might just be one post but it amused me to see the typical stoke supporters mindset on the oatcake forum today...

Concerning the possible transfer of ricardo fuller to sunderland -

'I love Ric and i'll be sad to see him go, however, if he is only moving for money reasons then he can fuck off.'

good sale. Fuller's knees are shot and i feel it is a panic buy by Bruce, as Fuller will be more unfit than fit in the next two years

I don't like Stoke(some fans anyway) after their treatment of us the day we went down and you went up at the Britannia

Into the third year of wating for an opportunity to stuff you somewhere lol. Might be a very long wait

What treatment exactly? pretty sure your fans were giving it out when you looked liked you'd stay up. I don't remember it too much really to be honest, just the good bits.

violence after the game. At the game gloating to be expected

Probably faults on both sides, but allow me a grudge!

I lived with a Stoke fan when I was at uni. One night a few of us came home to find his stereo on full blast and him dancing on the landing to the rather tuneful ditty "Play Up Stoke".

Must have passed me by, lot of nobs who rarely go the game there that day probably responsible. Mostly its very well mannered now, it used to be a scary down the victoria ground.

BE LOYAL BE PROUD BE STOKE

To be fair, Tony Pulis is no mug when it comes to the transfer market. Beattie....Tuncay etc. I agree that Fuller will prob not stay fit for a long time all in one go whereas Carew, if injury free, will be more reliable. I think we have too many 'up front' players now so exits will follow anyway so if Stoke get a good price for Ric........happy days.

Maybe a panic buy, but they only have one fit striker.

If Gyan goes down, who'll play up front? Zenden and Henderson? Convert Titus Shambles to a centre forward?

With Wellbeck and Campbell out for ages, they need a striker now.

Fuller is a good, experienced striker and will always score goals.

Thoughts on Carew signing? I actually think he could be a decent signing for you and the style you play.

Needs games though

I don't see the point in signing Carew.

Jones is quality and way above the level Carew can play at these days. And they've got Sidibe as a serviceable back up.

its a loan deal so he'll be great back up for the season. I've always been a fan so quite looking forward to him turning out for us.

You are also clearly not aware of our plan to buy any black player over 6 ft 3" tall.

Jones is pretty injury prone tho i think? So Carew could be a decent backup imo.

And Sidibes pretty gash.

it used to be a scary down the victoria ground.

Most scared I've ever been after a game was at your old ground. Have most of the hardcore gone to Port Vale? (They seem to be involved in a lot of lower league aggro?)

Kenwyne does have a few problems because he's a big unit but doesn't hold back, he's also struggled for fitness late on in games so picks up little things then.

i won't have a word said against mama, he's awful but for some reason pulis loves him and he has scored some important goals for us.

We actually keep sidibe and diao not for their skills on the field but for their skills in recruiting players from africa, diao especially is like a demi god senegal apparently.

Nah, most of them have just retired, been sent down or been banned for life. It was never my scene but i know a lot of the old heads as they mostly eminated from my area.

The problem in the old days was the location of the ground to train station and maize of streets in between - almost impossible to police it effectively
