Argh $500 loss night, no more for me now for a couple of weeks with my exams and revision coming up. Look forward to coming back with better discipline as i used the hiccup of the lost debit card to play above my means, not madly so, but enough to exert too much pressure on the BR. So falling back into old trends.
Will be good to break and re evaluate again at a later time, so this is a temporary goodbye for a while, i hope you all have the best of luck at the tables!

Hello Ant,
I have just read this diary for the first time and must say I've enjoyed it. I hope you can continue to build your roll and are crushing the HS MTT's very soon.
Best Wishes,
sovietsong.

Was introduced to Gin for the first time tonight along with my regular cider, its hit me quite hard i must say. I have asked a girl if she fancies going on a "drive" with me and i havent even got a license, and i was flirting with a relative minger all night, even thought i know she wants it but i never will, what a whore i am!

Played a cheeky points freeroll last night and was so close to binking a 2k holiday package. 300 odd entered top 1 got the prize, entered it for a laugh and i got to 1/4 and then with AQ and about 27 bigs in the sb i call a 25 bigs all in shove from the dealer with AQ. The standard was horrible so he could have easily had A7+. However on reflection, i should have just tried to small ball chip up and exert pressure in a less hasty way to secure first place. Calling for all my chips isn't an ideal play with a hand like AQ but i am not too upset with it, because if it did get there the trip was effectively mine.
He had 55 in the end and his hand held to decimate me. Also won a satellite to a midweek biggie on another site so last night wasn't too bad. The process of playing about 5 hours for nothing though did hinder me in getting an essay done last night which i now have until about 5pm today to do. 6000 words, 2000 of them written in my head and the rest i will have to do on a wing and a prayer. so gl me!

Hi Ant; just read a few pages of your diary there and enjoyed it.
For the sites you play on do you use any kind of software such as table ninja and HEM?

a little hint, never ever play tired, its better to play pissed or drugged than tired by a distance. I always try have 2 hours sleep before a session. Sometimes you might have to put back your session but so be it. " hours kip, nice shower is just the ticket to tackle a session

I'm pretty sure you just sleep through the day from the hours i have seen you on facebook. Logging on at 4am ftw!
I never play tired anyways, one of the cardinal rules.
Along with don't touch yourself until 55 mins past the hour and too much caffeine is the devil, if you want more rules just ask.
And cheers hairydude. Nope i don't use HEM or any HUD, just like my fav players Amatay and Greekstein. We go against the grain yeh, fcking mavericks.

tyvm amatitty
Now tonight was a weird one. Was bubble boy to 2 $3k live event packages which was very frustrating but managed to dust myself off and come second in a $8k gtd came 14th in a $30k as well and some other decent finishes to have me $1500 up on the night at the very least.
I am annoyed most at the fact i have ignored satellites for this long. A lot of the feeders to the main satellites for big events are of terrible standard and i may start grinding them to spicen things up alongside my usual schedule. But besides that i am having a bit of trouble with my set up.
I have a desk and chair available for the conventional arrangement of laptop screen and external monitor but there is a fault. My chair is too wide to slip under the desk so i have to lean in to be close enough to play and my back kills after a grind. Its the desk itself that is the problem really, the gap for a chair is too small. But the desk costs an arm and a leg and is maahussive so i dunno if i am gonna change it but i guess i have to.
What i have resorted to now is just 12-14 tabling on my 15.4 screen while in bed supported by pillows and a shoebox to propel the laptop to eye level. External rollerball mouse as well for convenience and number pad. It's bloody awesome. The comfort is amazing even though the image of it should make most of you puke.
I need to find a middle ground, where i can have the comfort of a bed set up with the screen close enough to my face without extending and being at ease, but be able to get a second monitor involved somehow, which has given me a fantastic idea as i write! A 24' monitor on the bed anyone?

Buy a desk and chair that fit and work. You can do it for under £100 if you need to. It is comfortable and you dont feel swamped with laptop on you.
