Notice Ant how these guys advocating HEM are cash players, for which it is absolutely essential.

I don't think it is at all for MTTs. I know Moorman doesn't use one. Dubai doesn't. Flushy didn't used to. I'm pretty sure Trigger and railtard don't either.

My foray into turbos only has been frustrating recently and with the ridiculously good start i had in them i now am on a tough tough downswing. Thing is i am a winner in these specific games but i didn't account for how many buy ins you get through in comparison to the slower tourns and have only recently accounted for that.

I am doubling the buyins i have for turbo tourns so effectively playing smaller ones around the 75 dollars and below mark, but i have an admission for some big big value higher ones but they will be in the small number.

For the standards, i am playing up to 165 dollars but around the 109 dollars mark mainly. Happy with my play in them. Made two mistakes tonight though that cost me both tourns but i always learn through my mistakes and love making them and learning from them instead of being warned about it and avoiding doing it. As you never fully understand the concepet until you get royally fucked.

I am doing one day off poker and one day on online for a while, as i realised its too much a waste of time to have 2 weeks off altogether and i will hopefully bink hard tonight.

Notes > HUD imo for MTT's ainec.

If anyone could direct me to somewhere, or tell me themselves about how best to note, with the best abbreviations and what actually to note, i would be grateful please.

Tonight went okay, was knocking furiously on the door of some 5000 plus cashes by reaching the last 2/3 tables all over the shop but couldn't get there. I know i am playing well though and it is a matter of time. I will just carry on playing comfortably within my means in terms of buy ins for online tourns and it should come.

However i think i am going to allow myself the luxury of ridiculous occasional 300-500 pounds entry live tournaments when they come around because i am beginning to get a taste for it and would like to play live more. Until i get slim anyway I will be playing more live even though it is out of my price range. When i am slim and with continued gym work which i have been doing about 3/4 times a week i wont be spewing live as much and will be going out a lot more on the pull and if i fail i will be doing so happily knowing i am hitting them with all i have got instead of always being insecure about my weight. Not upset about this just need to pull my finger out and actually starting to enjoy the gym now. Hate the prep though, of actually finding clothes needed for the gym, pure laziness.

Going to be playing a 560 pounds live tourn on Saturday unless i bink big in my next online sesh later on Friday night. Going to make a lot of adjustments to how i approach live games after taking a lot of heed of what was going on in Nottingham last week.

Think i am going to adopt a ridiculous loose style pre flop with a 50bbs stack and try to run the table over raising from all sorts of positions until of course i start getting 4 callers pre or i am getting hurt with 3 bettors. Will probably peel a 3 bet a lot more in position as well and look to outplay my oppo post flop a lot more than i do currently and i think that may be the key to getting a big stack and keeping it. Being active and trying to be in as many pots as possible but cleverly, obviously without spewing too much is the way to go. I may play a lot looser and realise i can't because the table won't allow it but i am going to try and own the table instead of playing my normal tight aggressive style which is fine but a lot of the time your stack can dwindle live as you have less hands to wait and i can see the advantages to cleverly getting yourself into trickier spots but trying your best to outwit your oppo, instead of abc tight aggro like i am.

Honestly i don't know what is optimum, but i am going to have a good feel around with different styles of play on Saturday and every other time i play live just to try and see if i can play as well as possible. I am not afraid to lose buy ins exploring different plays either because if you don't have a good mingle i think your play can be pretty one dimensional, well in my case anyway.

wowzas, had only 113 dollars left in my pstars account at the end of my grind, it had been at about 7k about 2/3 weeks ago but the turbo games absolutely cleaned me out.

Entered a 82 hyper and got third for 2k, now because i feel i may be booming i am regging till 5 even though i am tired, just turbos, and leaving in 1600 whatever happens. So fucking nice. Got hurt as clear second in chips A8 losing to A3 to the chip leader to have third get second with a measly chip count which hurt as the difference was 700 dollars, but i got lucky to get there in the first place so i am happy enough.

SPINNNN UPPPPPPP.
