i know the difference geographically.  as far as footy is concerned they're known as 'holland' innit.  i'll change my post to show the answer as 'the netherlands' if you want, but anyone who said holland is getting lumped in.  i'm not a pedant.

No they're not. They're known as The Netherlands. Anyone in footy who calls them Holland is wrong. That does not make it a correct answer to your quiz.

As far as footy is concerned they are called the Netherlands - NICKNAMED Holland.

Like putting The Gas as an answer for Bristol Rovers.

FIFA, whom The relevant FA's are members of , have no such team as Holland.  But Netherlands are registered.
