Why would she need a hotel if she lives reasonably closely?
I've broken both my legs and find the tread on my wheelchair tyre's starts to smoke on journeys over a mile. Get a taxi. |

Within a couple of miles maybe reasonable but I'm assuming 2 flights on day 1 to add to an already long day & doing it on your own is a heck of a job. Blackpool will have TWO seperate Opening days, & so will be a 4 day Update-a-thon. Somewhere close by to stay is an absolute necessity. |

If i lived close id wanna be in my own cot so worth a short drive home imo Updating days are VERY long & tiring, & Caroline will want a drink, too, so driving is not an option. If we can't fund her Hotel costs, (we will) we will not ask her to do it. |

I'm in Southport, about 40minutes from Blackpool (over an hour when Blackpool lights on however!) so would be better to be able to fall into a hotel bed relatively nearby. (insert obvious joke here)
I also have a dog who likes to welcome the postman quite effusively each morning so never any chance of a lie in: getting home at 3/4am and waking to that at 8am isn't conducive to 4 days of updates.
Blackpool is always great fun when the GUKPT is on, for locals and visitors (apart from Neil Channing), so I'm hoping Blonde get enough donations to be able to cover it all. Thanks in advance guys.
