Absolutely no live buy ins ?

You can probably go and be directed to a computer where you can deposit.

sent to me

Rich

There’ll be no alternates available, so we strongly suggest players buy-in asap if they want to play.

There will be no live entries allowed at the club. However, I will be available every night from 5pm to help anyone that is having difficulty. I will also have UKash vouchers which can be bought for cash.

So, anyone that does arrive early enough, I can help get registered for the comp. Buy-in closes at 6pm on each day for that night’s tournament.

NO. THIS IS NOT CORRECT.

THERE ARE NO LIVE BUY-INS AT THE CLUB FOR THIS EVENT, YOU CAN ONLY BUY-IN THROUGH OUR ONLINE POKER LOBBY.

I WANT TO MAKE THIS ABSOLUTELY CLEAR TO AVOID ANY PLAYERS TURNING UP AND WANTING TO BUY-IN AT THE CASH DESK AND THEN BEING CHEESED OFF WITH US WHEN WE SAY "NO". ESPECIALLY ON FRIDAY WHEN THIS COULD CAUSE US A REAL PROBLEM.

FOR THE LAST WEEK, OUR ONLINE STAFF (SOPHIA, ALEX AND NICOLA) HAVE BEEN AT THE CLUB TO HELP PEOPLE WITH ANY ONLINE PROBLEMS, SETTING UP ACCOUNTS AND BUYING IN THROUGH THE ONLINE SITE FOR THE GRAND PRIX ETC. SO FAR TODAY. FOR MONDAY, WE HAVE ONLY HAD 12 PEOPLE TURN UP AND NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER DUE TO VARIOUS ONLINE ISSUES, WE DO NOT WANT PEOPLE TURNING UP THINKING THEY CAN BUY-IN LIVE!

I REPEAT - THE GRAND PRIX IS ONLINE BUY-IN ONLY

PLEASE DO NOT POST COMMENTS LIKE THIS AS THEY WILL CAUSE US PROBLEMS WITH CUSTOMERS.

well Matt, I do feel I need to keep repeating myself because if we had allowed live buy-in to this comp like a Super 50 - I know we could have got 2500+ for this event (1000 of them turning up Friday - irregardless of how many tables we have got!) and we don't have the dealers or room for that, so I don't want one single customer turning up and being mad with us when we say they cant play, I am already expecting a problem for Friday so just need to keep hammering home the message Smiley Of course, if some player has had a problem registering online we can help them out but the cash desk cannot accept a single buy-in for the grand prix, this comp is auto run straight from our online lobby, as if it was a online comp.

Hi Guys

Here is my first daily report from the Grand Prix.

Day 1A of the Grand Prix III has come to a close, after 10 x 30 minute levels, the 296 runner field has been reduced to 70 players who will be returning for day 2 on Saturday. The average stack is 42,285 and the current chip leader is Michael Holmes with 137,100. There were 44 online qualifiers who chose to play day 1A who each received a Golden Chip at the start of play, which would entitle them to an additional £5000 should they make the final table. Eight of which have made it through to day 2. Dusk Till Dawn already holds the record for the biggest tournament field in the UK at 1058 set at the UKIPT. The guarantee for the Grand Prix III is 1600 players, and with 4 day 1’s to go Friday is already sold out and the current number of entries is 1185, so our previous record will be smashed.

The atmosphere in the club was fantastic tonight with everyone saying what an amazing experience the Grand Prix is with the opportunity to play a low buy in event with a deepstack structure and a huge prizepool. If you wish to join the action and play Tuesday to Thursday you can buy in online up until 6pm each day, there are already 183 registered for tomorrow and we expect at least 300.

Cheers

lol. they are trying to run the biggest game in europe and you have to ask dumb ass stuff like this. doubt they have time to answer so i will help em out..... the blinds are the forced bets that the players are required to make each round before the cards are dealt.. the player to the left of the dealer button is the small blind and the player to his left is the big blind.

well done Simon. you and the team just keep performing miracles and the club just goes from strength to strength.

love the idea of only 2 seats gtd for the monthly deepstack on line now. saves a lot of money on the overlay for the 5 seats gtd you had and it means the cream rises to the top and the luck boxes find it tougher to get in cheap now.
i got my seat last night , thanks very much jason herbert

Lol. Mrs Herbert with another highly informative post… I always wondered why the dealer kept taking chips of me two hands every round.
