I have a "mum" side that I hide very well but it's at the forefront with this thread, can't believe you did such a stupid thing so totally unequipped. I'm serious. It's a fuckin mountain not a little slope, plus covered in snow and ice and you're wearing... astro turf trainers.

yawn - live a little...

Yah, it's not exactly Everest, more of a challenging hill.  And there's a train to the top

Quick google search for Snowdon and death says the mountain only kills about 5 a year.

It's not as if they didn't have coats on, plus they're young and friffy and in a group so should survive if the shit did go down. Ratio of Risk of death against risk of having a good time not too indecent, I think the boys done ok.

Bear Grylls faces the wrath of nature with only basic provisions and mums love him and his outdoor ruggedness. I say wp boys, if you want to live you can't be afraid to die.

Sorry misread this - I thought they said they went to SWINDON. Now I know it was only Snowdon, that's fine.

I am with mother here, it might just be a hill, but its a dangerous hill it doesn't take much to turn a nice walk into a life threatening situation, while on a trek in 88 one of the guys in our group took unwell, we had to bivvy up while 2 people went to get mountain rescue and a stretcher, without the bivvy and the sleeping bag the guy could of died, as for the freezing fog that can suddenly appear out the blue, sorry guys I admire you get up and go and your spirit but hill walking can be dangerous IF you don't follow a few simple safety steps

the fog makes it impossible to get off the hill safely, unless you are on a road obviously, not sure if there is a road to the top of showdown and if that's what the guys took, but going up a trail when the fog hits only safe thing to do is bivvy up and sit it out

This might have been the best idea by a boy-band since The KLF decided to make a bonfire out of £1M.

We wanted the money, but we wanted to burn it more.
