yessssssss get out Binocular!
Good news for my 5/1 The Fly. Got 4 places in the special with Stan James a few weeks ago, ideally only about 9 horses end up racing and I've got 4 places for the ew.

This happens every year with the supreme novices. everybody is looking forward to the festival and the Supreme ussually has a "banker" in it...which, inevitably, gets sunk. Yes he has the best form in the field but the record of favourites in the Supreme is very poor indeed. Rather be on Spirit Son @ 6-1 than on Cue Card at 2-1 TBH. Trying to find something else to take Cue Card on with but have been on a course for the past day or so and can't remember what Willie Mullins said about So young. Does anyone know where he is going?
sounds like cue card should be a big lay for you instead of looking for something to beat it. Yeah it will be. Not a massive one but it's definitely a lay in my book. Boldie what's your thoughts on recession proof for supreme novices? Also surely the pp offer is a great one if your going against cue card? Recession proof has quite a bit of improvement to find, IMO. but he's been doing most of his racing on proper soft ground and could well improve for slightly better ground. the more I look at it the less I like Cue Card @9-4. He finished 4 1/2 lenghts behind Menorah and never really looked like he was going to beat him. I know Menorah is a fancy for the CH but you would have hoped Cue Card would have done better there.

My opinion is that he ran a decent race but Menorah passed him with consummate ease. I can fathom Spirit Son doing the same in the Supreme
Cue Card should have never been running in that race anyway
You don't see the top trainers running their novices in grade 2 races. Clown operation

Gutted I didn't get on HF earlier now. Also didn't see Binocular as the threat. My brother bets like twice a year and asked about this race and had his bets for Tuesday on Friday when at work as he got some special offer sent to him. Sigh at him getting better odds than me now. Don't get paid till Tuesday and looking for a new job so waiting to the day to do my bets nuts

I noticed in the small print (PP) that even with NRNB, R4 may still apply?

Apologies, didn't go back 40 years. You could always have said that you could not remember one rather that it's never been done. None of us is omniscient.

Thought it was correct as I went back a fair way (had to look up info throughout the 90s as my memory doesn't even go back that far TBH) Will put the caveat in with the following; Think none of the previous year's bumper winners have ever gone on to win the Supreme the following year.
