18-man final table, on the bubble.

SNG Wiz is very clear in this spot that you need 99+ to make the call.

However, if we were to call and win, we would be chip leader on the bubble, which is prime real estate cos we get to bully the table, and apart from the times you run into big-hands, you can often secure yourself a top-2 finish.

Also, we can expect the good reg in orange to abuse the table, so if we don't call we're unlikely to get many stealing opportunities.

On the flip side, we're 2nd in chips here, and looking good for a decent finish anyway.

Is there any argument for calling slightly wider than SNG Wiz recommends (for example with 88 or AKs or whatever), or is our bubble position too delicate to call?

Deffo calling wider than sngwiz and this spot is a great example of taking -ev edge to gain future +ev spots. I would go as far as snapping him off with 77 and aj here at least.

Yeah this is my tweener calling hand instinctively, I think I would probably muck 88 & AJ, call 99 & AQ. Jcar looks like one of the better players based on a super quick look at his stats/supernova badge so another reason to call him to try and cripple him

I expect him to be on literally ATC

Yeah he's def one of the better regs. Being marked orange by me is pretty much the top accolade a Stars SNG player can receive, beats even Sharkscope leaderboards Smiley

Yikes, really? Wiz advocates folding AKs yet you want to get it in with AJos?

Well given I have only played a handful of 18's in my life, I am probably wrong. I have just got so used to ignoring wiz in these spots for 45/180's that maybe I am little off.

99 is definitely a call, I'd still be folding AK

Pairs play far better vs any 2 ranges than high cards do

You can get decks with yellow spades instead of black, simples. Pretty standard for modded decks to have yellow spades.

Im an advocate for the 77 -aj range against an atc reg. maybe 88-aj
i dont think wiz appriciates just how much equity having the big stack gives or how painful these blinds losses are on our overall cahnces
need to be sure they are on atc though or it gets messy
