A lot of this is dependent on who else is at the table - and what we've seen of them if they aren't regulars
but in general assuming a fairly standard table
4 limpers, you have 83s on button 200bb deep.. fold
Same situation you have 74o fold>>limp
Same situation you have j9s raise>>limp
Same situation you have kq raise
Limp UTG, you are mp1 and have 89 with 1 good player in the c/o and Spanish fish elsewhere limp, probably
Same situation you have 77 limp
Same situation you have 22 limp
Same situation you have AQ raise
Same situation you have a10s raise
You are UTG with 74s in a 9 handed game with 1 good player in blinds and one good player in the cut off fold
Same situation you have 99 limp
Same situation you have 34s fold

In my local game I wouldn't expect less than 4 callers and if the first four to act behind me call then I'd expect at least 7 - what do we do on a flop with 2 overcards oop to most? KJo? As above and we miss a lot of flops here too The game at DTD is somewhat different to that at my little provincial casino |

open limping is terrible regardless, unless you're intention is to limp raise, which has some merits in some games.
I used to hold that opinion, and I wouldn't do it online, nor would I be quite so likely to do it at DTD or in some games locally (with a high proportion of real players, but as a 'never to be ignored' rule I think it has flaws. |
