5k tournament at the WSOP a couple of years ago.
We are on the bubble and there is a raise, followed by 2 allins on my bb.
It is the first time it has ever crossed my mind to fold aces preflop.
Then I smacked myself in the head very hard and called.
I bubbled obv.

Might of been a similar spot to Paul Ho in the million!
If there were shitloads of runners still left and quite a way off winning it then surely this makes it a fold so we at least lock up $10k or whatever for a min cash!!

I know I am going to be ridiculed for this but if someone is underrolled then I think it is a fair enough spot to fold aces. I would and could never do it but if $10k means the difference between being able to move up stakes or not for example then the fold is worth it in terms of the opportunities it gives you later on. Stu Rutter made the point much better than I ever could on the thread where Shaun King folded AK.

was on the table with the aces fold preflop. The guy pictured in the thread is not the guy tho, he was the raiser. Hand went like this, my bb, utg (guy pictured), who has raise-folded ak last hand and was shown queens by the sb, makes same raise utg to 11.5k at 2500/5k from 170k stack. All fold to cutoff who dwells, thinks, blah blah, 'i fold but keep those cards to the side dealer'. Everyone folds inc me in bb, utg says i had it, shows ak again, folder says to the dealer show them what i folded....shows aces.
i kinda get that if you're in a £500 comp for buttons/freeroll then making the money matters, but like 10 hands earlier the same guy shoved over a button raise with his AJ, he had like 60k at 2k/4k and was never gonna bubble if he was that bovved.
He said something about not liking the spotlight when he was the allin guy at hand for hand...no idea what he did it, or why he didnt pass AJ in that case (obv he doubled v button's AT), why he didn't just slip them in the muck quietly if he wanted to pass.
Some interesting play in this comp so far, going back with 165k tomoro

Jaffacake says what i was thinking. He gets it in with AJ a few hands before they said. Now he wants to go around folding aces and showing.

but why would he not fold AA on the bubble.
"I have had it 4 times already, and Im pretty sure that between now and the end of the tourney ill get it at least 6 more times, thats a statistical probability cause it happens everytime I play. Anyways, ill prob fold AA at least 1 more time pre flop before the final table, afterall if there are 2 people already in the pot, im never gonna be better than 50% to win the hand, so why would I put a cent in the pot? Surely I just wait to get aces and just keep getting it in heads up with people with QQ or KK - happens to me all the time. Unless of course its the final table bubble, when obv its a snap fold cause the pay jump is a sick one, and the TV time is worth more to me"
