Sod that, kids gotta learn there are rules to abide to in this world, this is a great way of doing just that, my only beef is that the higher profile players you mention appear to have got away with it.

Bullshit- loads of people defy the rules all the time. The crime was getting caught.

The crime was playing underage

I know Barry. Im not condoning it. However Im sure when we were 14-17 we all did things we not supposed to do- drink, smoke etc etc. He obv didnt expect to bink- probably pad his micro roll a bit and suddenly its all out of control and he is at the final.

Rules are rules. I agree with the fact that stars have taken his money but I also feel sympathy for this guy.

Im actually just being argumentative today more than anything to be honest.

Oh no youre not....

I'm with george on this.

Give peachymer a sponsorship despite being a multiaccounter, yet take half a mill off a kid who played underage. Harsh.

that's another topic, and one which fking stinks. but pretty much goes to show the industry and how it came about. Dodgyness is fine peeps. Multi account, ghost etc it's all good..... just dont get caught.

caught at what?

I thought the whole PMer thing wasn't quite out in the open but there was deffo a whole raft of dodgy shite going on.

Considering what other poker sites have got up to and how they treat their customers, Stars is THE ONLY site that I have any respect for their decisions so I hope that they have made the right one over peachy. Are there any links/cliffs to concrete stuff rather than accusations?

Ironically, zeurrr’s loss looks set to become the other players gains, who will now likely receive a share of his redistributed winnings.

Don't see how they can do that.  There are complications over the final table chop/ did he play any other games/ tournies etc.

I'd like to know what stars standard procedure is for this situation.  I'd guess that they just keep the money.

Ummm I would have thought the fact there was a chop makes it easier to split the money up.

10/1 they keep the money.

I do wish you wouldn't rush so agressively to defend stars at any opportunity.  I questioned what their normal procedure was - do you know?  Offering odds about what they will do in this situation doesn't answer that question.

Afaik Stars would seize whatever funds were in the acc and redistribute to as many people affected as possible, happened in the Chinese don case anyway.

They cant bump ppl up the pay ladder, there wasn't one, it was a chop.  A chop that is now invalid if the kid didnt have the legal capacity to agree to it.

noooo it's fking not

HOW IS IT HARSH

you have to follow x y z guidelines, age, location etc

you do that you play you win it's fine

you don't do that YOU CANNOT JUST WIN THE WORLD

how are so many people seemingly un-bothered about playing against people who are cheating left right and centre?!

what they do with collusion/multi-accounting etc is well known.  I've never heard of anyone getting a refund because their opponent was underage (thats not to say that it hasn't happened).  If they have previously been keeping the money seized from underage players, they should also keep this money (and then deal with the fallout from that decision).
