You're 1000 times better player than me without a doubt, but I have to ask to learn....

What is the thinking by re-raising his $21 bet, when if your think he's at it, the best you're going to do is split , and if your wrong and he does have the 3 or 9 then it's cost the max. If you just call, you're spiliting or losing the min?

and on the same vein, if he calls your all in bet, best again you're getting is a split pot, as it'll be unlikely he's folding - and esp if he DOES have the 3 or 9, even less chance you do, so he's snapping you off?

Good point.

However still can't see this being a good move in the long run?  and if I'm wrong, then need to understand why to improve and learn from better players who think that one step further etc.

The theory is that he is having to call 70 to split the pot, and from the way the hand plays why would I put him on a 9 specifically?

Thats what I don't get - you are unlikely to put him on the 9, so best your hoping for is a spilt pot, as he'll be thinking the same.  But when your wrong it's costing you the max

He won`t call for a chop, that`s the point. He can only call 9 or better obv.

might be getting confused, or i just don't get it (both highly likely!)  he as in villian surely wont believe you have the 9 in the same way we don;t believe him - as outragous states why would i put him on the 9.

so if that is the case, your only ever getting actually called by the hand that can beat you.   your repping what he has.

best result your splitting, worst your losing.  the occasions when he believes you and fold, dont out weight the times he just calls and spilt or has the 9 himself.

this is my first blonde hand analysis so forgive me if im overstepping here?

In short if he doesn't have the 9 he has to call 70 to win the 30 he has put in, so the maths for him is terrible. He knows that is his absolute best outcome (without the 9)!

I have no reason to put him on a 9 here.

There is no reason why I can't have a hand like 99. Although they rarely pass even if they pass 1 in 30 times it is profitable!

However I run terrible and I am 0 for 1 in this spot!

It is also funny when they fold!

Also jamming a board like 2222 x can be an interesting spot

Or even watching people pass on 2222A boards too
