Talal Shakerchi makes it 1850 utg

Ben Jenkins calls utg+1

Tamer Kemal cals on the button

Steve Watts squeeze shoves 18,000 from the big blind

Shakerchi iso-shoves 30,000

Jenkins gives it serious thought but releases, as does Kemal

Shakerchi flips

Watts "damn I am drawing to a three" and shows  three diamonds

a railbird says plaintively "Jeez Stevo, what have you done?"

the question hangs in the air, no answer readily apparent byanybody watching,  as the board runs out

Two Diamonds for Watts to depart

Martin Malone making progress over 30,000

Bets 6,000 into 9,000 on the river of a 6-A-7-Q-9 board and gets called by Tamer Kemal who mucks when Malone shows A-9

--------------------------------------------------

Michael "Wazz" Piper found himself in a tough spot versus Chris Jaromin

I joined the action to see Piper check call 5,000 from an 18,000 stack on  from the big blind

Piper checks the  three diamonds river, Jaromin fires 6,500 and Piper makes a good call, after a monster dwell with  to win the pot when Jaromin mucks

As we head to level 8 with 40 left the recent exits are Mo Muse, Tamer Kemal and Katie O'Connor

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chip leader still Jeff Kimber ahead of Karl Mahrenholz, Talal Shakerchi, Ben Jenkins and David Rudling

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also well up there was Matteo Fratelli...then he raised pre and was called by Chris Kyriacou and both blinds

flop

Fratelli leads, Kyriacou raises, Fratelli 4 bets and Kyriacou 5 bet shoves. It appears as if Fratelli has to call. Its about 12,000 more into an over 40,000 pot

He says, instead "You must have hit your set" and passes handing the nice pot to Kyriacou

the top ten stacks

Jeff Kimber

Karl Mahrenholz

Talal Shakerchi

 Ben Jenkins

David Rudling

Keir Radcliffe

Daniel Moosah

James Morris

Chris Jaronim

Kimber over 100,000 the rest well over 50,000 at 400-800/75

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mahrenholz and Ratcliff play out a board of

after pre flop raise-age from Karl and call-age in position from Keir

Ratcliff leads after the flop with

Mahrenholz seesaws into the lead with  on the turn

and the chop after the river

Mahrenholz says to Ratcliff

"three years ago we'd have got the lot in on the river but we can't be bothered these days, can we?"

Karl Mahrenholz knocks out Mark McCluskey, K7 versus a short stacked shoving A6

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I gather Jeff Kimber is playing for thefirmpoker this week

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chris Brammer loses a big pot to Max Winberg

I only arrive with the cards on their backs on the river

Brammer AQcc on the button, Winberg Aces in the small blind

Aces hold up on a King High board to take Winberg right up there and leave Brammer short

-------------------------------------------------------------

Jamie Roberts opens for 1650 in mid position and Talel Shakerchi calls in the cut off

Roberts leads for 2,200 on  , called

He continues for 5,000 on the  turn called

He value bets 5,000 on the  river, called

and Roberts flips  to take a 27,000 pot from a rueful Shakerchi who has been done all ends up on the river, presumably

Is flat calling on the river with the nuts a penalty in the GUKPT?

I am sure it would be but Roberts led all three streets, didn't call with the nuts
