All we need now is for Rooney to getthe same injury as well, so that they are both fresh for Germany.

Good point tighty. As a Liverpool fan I have to say I think Gerrard looks knackered already.

Champions League group and knockout stages
World Club Champinship
England friendlies
England qualifiers

and Gerrard is expected to go flat out next July as well

I disagree, he has been playing exceptional recently

Yeah it's a joke. Whilst we've had 4 games in 8 days the rest of Europe's elite are in our stands watching our games whilst on a 2 week break.

Agreed but the last 15 minutes of each game he's been tired. Didn't ever see that last season.

I think that all the major leagues in Europe should have the same calender, and that includes a winter break for the uk leagues

Can Gerrard and Lampard play together? They're our best central midfielders, but I maybe they're not compatible.

Maybe try Carrick or Parker. neither of them are as good as Gerrard, but you cannot drop Lampard.

compatible or not, you have to play them. Best two players. His job is to devise plans and styles that work for them both

I think the reason we're cramming all the games in now is so that we get a month between the end of the season and the world cup. Does it clash with the WSOP?

I think they can play together in a 4-5-1 with Rooney as the wide left man. (As Man U sometimes do)

If the midfield 5 consists of Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney then one striker is enough.

I would only play this against the top teams though and play a standard 4-4-2 vs weaker teams.

Hansen said the other day "Gerrard is better than Lampard but Gerrard's problem is he is more versatile than Lampard, so he will be sacrificed as he can play the defensive role better." Spot on in my book.

We had it up here for a couple of years & everyone thought it was a great thing.

So they scrapped it  >:?
