Minned this guy cos he was pretty aggro with his 3betting but unfortunately folded. I guess min raising pretty much polarises me to AA/KK/QQ and even JJ.

Any different line to take? I think he was fold to any 4bet and was just trying one on me for a big pot I beat him earlier

Not a big fan of min raising in general but you are probably correct that he is folding to any 4bet.  Given his stats I would just flat his 3bet and let him hang himself.  You will have very little idea where you are post flop but you will be ahead of his range so let him hit something and/or spew it off.

I think your thought process here is to click it and hope he spazzes out?

I'm pretty sure nearly 100% of the time here people's ranges are pretty inelastic to your sizing as long as its not too out of the ordinary (too big really)(e.g. he has made a plan to 3b fold, 3b peel or 3b/5b) i cant see this plan changing too much because you have clicked it - unless you're repping a misclick dubai style lol) to making a stnd 4b size.

for this reason all the min-raise does is lose you value of his peeling/5bets because he now has to make them smaller, and the few times he peels the $3 when he would ordinarily have folded doesn't compensate the loss in value vs his genuine continuing range.

Pretty much hoping for a spaz out yes.

As said previously he was aggro with his 3b's but was always folding to a 4b I think.

Being OOP too I should have flat perhaps then chk raise most flops.

Wasnt a complete disaster hand, just trying to develop good habits.

i mean it really depends on your 4bet tendancies.

for example in a game I was playing last night I decided that I wasn't giong to 4bet anything. for various reasons I didn't want to build a 4betting range so I flatted entire range, even AA OTB facing a UTG open and UTG+1 3b.

If you're not 4betting many hands, but are not folding to too many 3bets then flat is defo the way to go, speshly vs someone with a fold to 4b% higher than ~25% (i,e he is 3bettnig light a decent chunk)

it's defo better to have a 4betting range vs someone who is folding to a high % of 4bets though as you can start to 4bet/fold the best hands you want to fold to 3bets with and should prolly show a decent profit in doing so

I guess I need to add fold to 4bet to my HUD then really. This adds another chink in my armour so I can read players better.

My 4bet tendencies are different depending on position. I'll possibly flat more with position. Range is pretty tight, 10s, AQ AJs and above.

I've not quite found my guts to 4bet air yet. I've done 3bet air with position but not quite at that level yet.
