OK i have the man flu, I am stuck in bed with my lappy, and I have cashed in 13 of the 15 stt's I have played on stars today, and i notice that I have just relaxed and not bothered about out playing my opponents.

Does everyone else play like this usually or have i just been a lucky fish today?

It might be, before your flu you were suffering from something else, fancy play syndrome (FPS).

When you're too keen to make amazing tricky dicky plays you find all your chips have gone somewhere else.

Fundamentals take down the £££ in STT, not flashes of poker genious.

Might be just luck, but if your man flu has got you playing better this could possibly be the reason, the dulling down of your FPS.

Well I have noticed that no one ever respects a check raise online, Players cant read the board, thus your bluff is pointless, ace rag is treated like aces,  and I think my back to basics approach is standing me in good stead, I have never been this relaxed playing poker, I am usually wound up for the game.

Its taken man flu for you to notice what we've been saying for a while. Back to basics is the only way to play true fish

Yes I get it, The basics work best in stt, I just expect to outplay most opponents,

Just one question though, is this the same as you progress up to the $50 and $200 stt's?

I have to say I agree w/ the "sick" syndrome in my poker game. I think you cant be bothered, I probably play less hands when i feel like shit! I was sick as a dog when I won the WSOP, I consumed a big bag of cough drops at the final table! Then at the circuit event at Ballys it was the same deal Cool

ABC poker works and pays most of the time, you only need to get creative when it stops working...
