Heres what happened tonight on pokerstars $1 buy in, over 3000 runners.

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 209 hands and saw flop:
 - 9 out of 25 times while in big blind (36%)
 - 4 out of 25 times while in small blind (16%)
 - 9 out of 159 times in other positions (5%)
 - a total of 22 out of 209 (10%)
 Pots won at showdown - 6 of 7 (85%)
Pots won without showdown - 27

Lost out again .....

Deep into tourney, blinds 8500/17000  ante 2125

208,000 chips and currnetly in 18th position out of 23 left.

Me  SB  (KK) 2 limpers, i raise to 85,000 BB folds, one limper also folds, one left who called.

Flop  2D 3D 10H  Me All In for 132,074 he calls (pot now 485,148

Both turn cards over and he shows 10C QC (im happy with that)

Turn 10D  River 4H  and im out!

5hrs 53mins and i get a return of $8.67 for a $1 buy in.

Every hand i played i won, until the last one, just pisses me off when i get so far into a game only to be donked out by some bloody idiot that thinks Q 10 is a great hand!

Forgot to ask,  did i play the hand correctly or should i have played any different?

Perry,

You said......

just pisses me off when i get so far into a game only to be donked out by some bloody idiot that thinks Q 10 is a great hand!

That's unlucky, but your thinking is completely wrong here, & you need to adjust it.

Pre-Flop, and Post-Flop, you win that coup more than 8 times out of 10, or 80 times out of every 100 times it happens. It does not get any better for you than 80-10, it's a wonderful situation for you.

Don't ever complain about losing 1 time in 5, just embrace the fact that you win it 4 times in 5.

We should not be troubled when he wins 1 time in 5, on the contrary, we should be happy he wants to get it in so bad.

Only poker players would ever complain about opponents who are "idiots"!

What do you want, 100% - 0% clashes? It ain't ever gonna happen. Ever.

80-20 is a thing of beauty. Have it's babies.

Tikay,

I wouldnt mind so much if it was early into a game, yeah we all hate donks that knock us out, but it happens.

What got me wound up was that it was late into the game, almost 6hrs and just about to go on another break, he was a little higher chipped than me, but obv with the bet i put in, it must have said something to him???

I wanted a caller pre flop obv, but after the flop did he REALY think he was ahead?

I know i cant win every hand every time, if i could do that i wouldn't be playing $1 tourneys!  lol

Im over it now, had a coffee and a ciggie, now thinking of a small sng to finish the session off.

1. You expect the average $1 buy-in player to be good?

2. Shouldn't you want them to be bad, doesn't that mean you have more chance of winning?

I like the way you played it. bet big on the flop to represent ACE-PICTURE and found some chump wanting to put all his money in with 1 pair....

I think since people have seen "top players" betting all there chips with 1 pairs and high cards just plain gambling it up playing bingo not real poker, moving all in with T4 offuits pre flop and things, people wanna emulate them and start making these ridiculous plays.

I blame the "top pro's" they dont realise how they affect the smaller games.

i played a VERY tight game, every hand i played i won, exept the last one obv, 27 pots won without showdown, and 6 out of 7 when going all the way to river, surely the stats say i was not just betting on ACE PICTURE as you post, i am not saying im the worlds best player, but for obv reasons i only play low $$$ games, shame as if this was the sunday million i would be quite well off now  Smiley

Thanks for the comments so far guys  Smiley

I love this. I like you. Don't be scared, it's purely platonic.

50p on its way.....

I'm willing to join in the fund. One dollar for every $1 tourny he wins over a 24 hour period. As long as he doesn't post his hand analysis.

Ok  i get it.....  i just thought this was the correct thread to speak about such issues?  lol

I only play micro tourneys due to the fact that i do not have the funds to play top games like $100 buy ins etc, some of you are more suited to them than me, but for now thats my budget Smiley

Please keep the posts coming... making me laugh now and i needed cheering up after losing the game Smiley

BTW  the top prize was just short of $550 which to me IS a lot of money

Why are you not jamming pre with 12bb and picking up 30% of your stack pre with no chance of random peeling for an ace
The fact he limp called with effective 15bb shows his a class player
you will jam any non high flop after putting in 40% of your stack
you will get called by the above class player when he hits top pair
You should be pleased when he does
Its a $1 tourney what do you expect ?
Thats poker....

- a total of 22 out of 209 (10%)
Not playing enough hands?

WP Pez - you outlasted 99% of the field

Thanks, the reason i olny played 22 out of 209 hands are because i dont play rag, I.E. J K / Q J 10 Q etc.......

Approx 18 of the hands i played was a pair, with the exeption of position play on the blinds, the worst hand i played was A 8 and a 2.2 raise with an unopened pot was enough to get the blinds at that point in the game.

I dont think i played a bad game, still learning position play etc so please dont knock me down too hard for playing a $1 game  Smiley
