After the dust settles and 'black friday' is behind us just where does this leave internet poker? Will it all come crashing down around us like so many predict? Will it make a vengeful comeback and crush those that stood in its path? Either way, for the time being it seems that the masses are slightly rattled by all the chaos surrounding our three american big dogs, or perhaps they are really unsettled that they might have to rejoin the live poker scene and interact face to face with players and not be able to multi table or rush poker ever again...

I'd love to hear what everyone thinks is going to happen in the long run Smiley

Internet poker in the UK is here to stay long term imo. The effects on the live poker scene in this country is going to be negligible.

The only real changes for uk online players are a smaller player pool, leading to slightly less games running or runners in tournaments.

We may see more of the market chopped up as individual governments make decisions on regulating online poker within their own borders. I believe the next big one is Germany in the next year or so, yet this could go both ways France and Italy are up for review soon and may come back into the global market in some form (one timeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!)

I certainly will be carrying on grinding from home and not down your local casino.

Getting rid of the Germans but gaining French + Italians would = double win!
