Ok - using Acer laptop with Windows 7.
When I am typing the writing will suddenly no longer appear where i am writing but halfway through a previous sentence - normally when the cursor may be. What am I doing to cause that to happen and how can I stop it?

Also - when replying to posts on Blonde I cannot get the slider to stay at the bottom of the space so I can see what I am typing. It keeps bouncing up the page.

Any ideas anyone?Huh? It is driving me doolally.

Thanks

Tracey.

Sounds like your up arrow or page up key or similar is jammed on.

I think that might be right - or close to being jammed on so when I brush over it then it moves the cursor. Is that possible? If so - the solution is.....?

Tnx

Remove the key, they just flick off!

If you don't want to be too extreme try a can of compressed air and see if you can dislodge any debris

I get that with my Dell when the heel of my hand brushes the mousepad. Annoyingly there's no disable mousepad option on the thing...

There is a disable mouse pad key on the Acer.  Looks like a finger pointing inside a rectangle.  Try that Trace.

The blonde thing sounds like an explorer issue. Always happens on my pc with explorer.

Just change browser to a better one to fix that.

With the blonde thing - plz switch to Firefox/Chrome.

As for the other cursor thing, I have the same issue. It's just an oversensitive mousepad. All you have to do is disable the clicking option on the mousepad and use the buttons Smiley

Had both these probs using IE, switched to firefox after instruction from Boshi and had no bother with either problem since.
