i read somewhere that dtd were gonna make the min cash worthwhile for those people travelling from a far so that it would leave some profit after expenses.
you can transfer seats in all the regular sats like the deepstack and monte carlo so would not be at all suprised if they let you transfer one here. h makes a good point as  this tourney is gonna represent excellent value.

This is gonna be awesome! For those of you kids that have just entered the world of uk poker, grosvenor used to run a huge pot limit comp like this every year with qualifiers at each grosvenor casino and grand final in Walsall.... Played pot limit. It was great but sadly died. The min cash paid to all qualifiers was £100 which just about covered petrol beer and a sandwich.

hmmmm. just thinking about my last post i aint so sure that these numbers are gonna add up...if they want 400 runners for day 2 on saturday then thats an average of 20 people going through from each sat...and i cant see an average of 200 players playing every sat. but then again this is DTD and they dont often get things too wrong. Gl to them as well

i think your right Jason

tonight's 2 on line day 1s produced 16 into day 2

if i got this right then €250k gtd buy in €50 +€10
so 5000 entry's needed to make gtd
500 needed into day 2
18 day one options left so need 484 more to get through from day ones or 268 runners in each
big ask !

More day ones might be needed or drop gtd

massive ask i don't think they are going to get anywhere close......

however i so hope they do make it cos dtd is just an amazing  place proved again this weekends deepstack..and i would hate to see them with a massive overlay

numbers guess anyone?

i think total entrants around the 3000 mark

3250 if they allowed cash buy I'n at club would defo get it . People don't like using bank card on line plus the other half gets 2 see lol . I see why as dtd want more on line accounts . On the other side if it was open 2 cash at club loads of new players would go to club .

At the last GP you could buy a UKash voucher at the cash desk and use Dtd laptops to register. Obviously you do need a DtD online account and winnings are credited to that account so probably no help in your circs?

My speculative punt is that it will be pretty flat minimum payout until say 45 left then close to standard DTD payout. I don't think they are going to publish until they know how many people start Day 2. 75 euros was mentioned By Simon T. in the other thread and at the club last night 90 euros was toute as miinimum. I think it will start off flat to discourage no-shows getting a better payout than attendees as 15K stacks will take a while to blind off.

i think that the payouts should have been paid as thou day 2 was day 1 (ie 10% of day 2 runners). It essentially makes it a 600 freeze with big  money payouts compared to buy in.

Those who had issues in respect to travel (incl people like me) had plenty opportunity to qualify online. It is effectively becomes a day 1 scenario where you are playing for great money. I could be way off the mark here and it is very much just my opinion. Dont really know who the typical player has been in these games.

That is a format we could use for a €500 comp with 500 returning and only 50 getting paid but the concept of this Grand Prix is as follows.

The Grand Prix is a €50 comp with a massive guarantee and the top 10% paid played in 2 stages. In the last Grand Prix we played 10 levels on the day 1's and approx 25% got through, this meant travelling players were coming back short stacked and still had to beat 250 players to cash. With this format in the Day 1's you play down to 10% so all players return with a min cash and get to play for the €250,000 prizepool with our Deepstack structure 15,000 chips 40 minute clock starting at 25 50.

Cheers

That would've just made it a €500 comp guaranteed at 500 runners that you could only get in to via sats.

As played they're paying out based on 5000 runners and top 10% get paid.

Paying out the top 1% or so would be absolutely ridiculous.

Thanks for the reply Simon, I take it that there is not a payout structure agreed on yet.

Just seems strange for a tournament to have started and the payout not in place?

Evilpie

I dont disagree that it strays from the normal pay structure, but Dtd are pioneers in the uk poker scene and yes it is unusual but I would have supported it

Like I say, this tourney has pretty much passed me by really, and I'm not sure who has been playing

I sincerely hope Dtd reach their guarantee and set all kinds of records
