Whetever happens it needs to be resolved soon so that people dont pick people that have already cashed in event 1.

Obviously if everyone else is swapping then i will too, but just doesnt make any sense. Not fair on the people who were shrewd didnt pick Ivey too.
I guess if the majority wna swap then thats whats gna happen and if your really not happy about it then drop out.

Honestly think the only real solution is that every player is allowed one swap or the option to withdraw.
This
+1
A few people have suggested this as a reasonable option. In my situation, assuming no significant strength of feeling to the contrary, then I think the best option for me is to withdraw from this.
The reasons for this are that I don't think I have a reasonable chance to compete without two of my selections participating. I also think the option as to whether or not to make a substitution is going to be very divisive in a competition where there's money at stake. I'm happy to use a sub in the freeroll comp where there's nothing at stake other than bragging rights, but I'm much less comfortable doing so in the prop bet.
From my own point of view, I don't follow the poker circuit goings on closely enough to have been aware, as some claim, that this was coming for the last few weeks. I've certainly not read anything to suggest that high profile players might choose to boycott the WSOP, for whatever reason.
Like I say, if there's a massive voice of protest at this decision then I'll abide by the majority, whatever that decision may be, but otherwise consider me to have reluctantly withdrawn.

As I was hitting send on my last post it occurred to me that there's another option that might be worth considering - only having the top 7 scorers in each team count towards the totals.
I'm not sure, at the end of the day that it'll massively change the final outcome, as we'll all have some dud picks in there and it'll potentially future-proof the competition in case anyone else decides to drop out going forward.
Those of us with Ivey/Ferguson in our teams will have just lost out on a bit of flexibility, but we're potentially still able to compete.
Not sure what people will think of this, but I'd be happy to continue in the comp on this basis.

Happy to do with whatever majority goes with.
Needs to be sorted ASAP though, as Event 3 starts soon and could fast becomce a farce

Tighty has very kindly offered to do scores for our prop based on original teams, I think this is the fairest way, it's just unfortunate if you picked Ivey/Ferguson or both.
Oh, just seen this.
This is clearly the fairest way then.
No swaps = fair on everyone. You submitted your team and paid the $. Shouldn't be able to swap or back out now just because some of your team isnt playing. (I have Ivey too btw)
Obviously understand the FREE competition can have swaps, but the $ should not be allowed imo.

It is bordering on farce anyway surely. No entries after event 1 begins but when ivey says he isnt playing everyone who has picked him can switch. Oh yeah ok.
What happens if people decide to drop out and we are left with only 3 players in it. We still keeping the 60/30/10 payout or will we scrap the vote that happened and have a new one?

My team is a joke and i didnt even pick ivey , i mean fucking raymer and cunningham i dont have a chance anyway.
Nice post though.
Gl everyone lets lock it so we can at least have a few $100 sweat rather than a 3 players left in.

I think anyone who picked Ivey should just be awarded 50 points, cos he would have obviously crushed it had he played.
