Last hand of the night deepish .50/£1 game
«

Live cash game, everyone has been fairly active all night, effective stack vs villain 135bb. Villain is losing.
Limped to my button, make pot sized raise to £6 with
. sb folds, villain in bb calls and so do the limpers.
Flop
Villain donks for £20 into £30. Folded round, I call.
Turn
Villain checks. I bet £35. Villain tanks and shoves for another £74 and I call it off.
Is this okay?

Probs a fold.
Imo, villain plays a set, straight and all two pairs this way. Rarely, but sometimes he'll have a decent draw/combo with reasonable equity. You could also just fold flop if villain is good and you're in bad shape vs his donking range.

This is a nonbiased opinion! What outs can he catch, dead to a set or straight, and has 2/5outs vs 2pairs. Doesn't matter about price, he's crushed here 95% of the time.

Never a set. 100% villain is not flatting pre in a squeeze spot with 77+
Can obviously be two pair, J9, or combos. Is flop really a fold, though? Is villain really checking two pair on the turn?

Villain never gonna 3bet out the blinds with 77 88. And would expect you to bet this turn so craise to get stacks in.

You dont though... you would 100% continue on the turn with sets/2pr because you're wanting to play for stacks and there's a very high chance Zerofive is going to check back this turn (and its highly unlikely hes just randomly decided to float the T87 flop in a multiway pot).
Probs more inclined to just fold the flop than now, you're right in saying that a competent villains donking range on this flop in a multiway pot will likely be very strong, so yeah I would consider folding on the flop vs a
good
villain. (Definitely calling here though ;-) )
Also I think betting here and not knowing what you plan to do if the villain shoves is pretty absurd, surely it's what you would be expecting him to do if he continues with the hand. I think I'd probably say that bet/snapping seems like a reasonable play here (villain never has a strong hand on the turn and you can expect him to turn a lot of combo draws into bluffs)

Very high chance he'll check back? Dudo.
He has to have a good hand to call on the flop. If he's betting kt on this turn then he's betting close to all of his range.

Yeah but you don't know this at the time. Zerofive can have pair + draws with some showdown value, also bet/calling T9 and JT here in zerofives spot are massively different (worse) to b/c KT, AT, JJ.
Gl convincing me you'd ever check the turn with a set here, or 2pr, or a straight. Particularly given the dynamic of this game

if its last hand ofnight nd villain on tilt (im assuming he is as hes played all night and has 135bb) then I just make a thin click back/call on flop.
