Just found some old photos and came across this beauty - Jan 2005 - how excited was I?

(and we played limit holdem too!)

haha - no i dont believe I did win our first one, infact memories of it were very hazy due to alcohol intake!

Some of the great things thou - blinds started @ 1/2 - that is just one and two! haha

chips values

1
2
5
10
20

so comedy!

Its funny - im sure there is a bottle of black label involved in this game - it was made for you mate! Ill see if i can find some evidence!

7 runners I believe (it was literally the Peter Kay emergency chairs joke - you can see my desk chair peeking out behind the chipset box and folddown chair to the left)

£20 freeze out - paid top 2 £100 and £40

Blinds were due to go up every 30 mins - but this was subject to scrutiny throughout the night and changed randomly

It started at 8 -  finished at 4am (or thereabouts) - there was a mandatory drinking requirement, which I think was 2 bottle and 2 shots min an hour (wasnt a problem tbf)

We had some porn on DVD for anyone who busted early, along with the dart board for 2nd to join them

Thinking back it was awesome - much better than live poker!

Thats quality, great days. We were all potential Jake Cody's at that stage.

How many of the 7 are still playing pokerz?? I would guess only one or two.

I remember homegames for 10 Cypriot pounds and runners would range from 10-30 (yes two to three tables in operation), I would be the must clued up in breaking tables down and moving players. Drink was heavily involved and on numeorus times players were too oiled to even play.. Being plus ev helped maintain the interest and moved online from there!

Same here - been playing a monthly home game for a few years now, and I'm the only one that plays against "real" people otherwise. Totally change my game for it. £5 rebuy!

You called with what?!
