I just popped down to my local bookies, to pick up some winnings for a change, and saw they had Utd priced up at 11/8 for this game.  This is about right I reckon.

However, they are 2/1 on Betfair this morning.  I think this is good value.

Arsenal are a fading force, although they've won most games at home the opposition in almost each case was poor.
Arsenal are struggling to score goals
Arsenal didn't rest key players over Xmas
Utd are very strong away from home
Utd are scoring freely
Utd haven't lost to Arsenal, apart from in the FA Cup on penalties, for a long time.

I've taken 2/1, I think Utd will win this by a couple of goals.

Arsenal to score twice?  In one game! Wink

Ljungberg and van Persie are out, injured.

I never bet on Arsenal games as I can't trust myself to make a rational betting decision.

However I concur with Mr.Moves' analysis and fear the worst tonight.

But my beloved Arsenal do have a habit of pulling rabbits out of the hat when I am close to despair.

Come on you Gunners

Arsenal are struggling to score goals

in our last home game we scored 4. ok it was against portsmouth but it was 4. we have won every game at home this season apart from the chelsea game which we wrongly had a goal ruled out for offside which would of put us 1 nil up

Arsenal didn't rest key players over Xmas

united only rested van nistlerooy. pires, reyes nor gilberto played against villa and will all play tonight

Ljungberg and van Persie are out, injured.

ljungberg hasnt scored a league goal all season so i dont think that is a problem but van persie will be missed.

i think we will get at least a draw tonight but i fancy us for a 2-1 win with bergkamp to score 1st

i was toying with Bergkamp to score first again.  I had him for the Pompy game and think he'll do it again tonight.

I think I'll wait for confirmation that he is starting first though.

What other choice do they have? only have a squad of about 16 dont they

Rooney 1st scorer @ 7/1,  as for the score i think maybe 1-1 or United to sneak it 2-1

he could play henry and reyes up front and bring bergkamp on later on.  he cant play 90 mins so may prefer to see how things go.

I dont know......

I stand by that comment.  Arsenal put 4 past Portsmouth, true.  Look back further beyond that one result, to the start of December:

Villa - 0
Chalton - 1
Doncaster - 2
Chelsea - 0
Newcastle - 0
Ajax - 0
Bolton - 0

Against Villa they had 3 shots on target in 90 minutes.  Is this a team scoring freely?

I'm not denying Arsenal have good home form, but they haven't beaten anybody of note at Highbury.

No matter what the result it's sure to be a great game to watch as always

Gone for Arsenal 3-1 myself at 29/1 with Betfair.

I fancy Arsenal to up their game against United, but Man Utd have only failed to score one Premier League game this season (against Liverpool) so best value bet looks like 3-1 to me.
