I have watched the Tic games in the Cap 'n Gown before, and it is a decent boozer. It is right next to Villa Park, but I dont know where that is in relation to the casino, cos I dont know where the casino is yet.

Count me in for some Tic watching Sunday lunchtime btw.

Ahem, speaking of Clyde fans !!

Look left !!!!

Dave, is that dodgy defence of yours just in place to give us a chance on Sunday ?

And don't worry about Mr. Keane, it will be the Clyde team you'll be talking about after the game

Hi Heid,

If you are getting a black cab from New Street Station, it shouldn't be much over a fiver, sweetheart.

Birmingham cabbies aren't quite as bad as some. Smiley

seriously???

That superb! genuine bloke eh, did it all work out as he described?

Yes, stayed at The Caledonian Hotel in Kirkcaldy with 30% discount. Got a seat on the supporters coach to Montrose for free but made an error in having a go of the football card. 15 minutes later "who's Steve-B?" was the cry, i looked at my mate and he looked at me. Again a voice at the front of the coach said "who's Steve-B" so my mate slowly began to raise his hand. We soon learned how to duck at the appropriate moments as all kinds of items were thrown in our general direction. Fortunately most of what was said we couldnt understand which is just as well as i dont think it would be repeatable on a family forum. Best bet is when we stepped off the coach there was an East Fife fan stood in the car park wearing a Charlton Athletic shirt - and i though i was the only sad nutter who supported both!!!

The game was played in the worst wind and rain i think i've ever encountered but fortunately East Fife managed to win the game 2-1 with Arnold Dwarika scoring the winner (not sure spelt correctly - i just remember the chants of "he's black, he's gold, his name is arnold" being chanted in the stands). The official crowd was 202 with my mate and i being the 2! On the coach on the way back we were declared "lucky mascots" by the supporters club and invited back for their next away match. Unfortunately we couldnt make that weekend but did go back again later that season and a few times each of the seasons after that - but its been about 7 years or so since we last went up.

All because the first sunday pub team i played football for when i was 16 used to run a pontoon so me and my mate joined and drew East Fife so every week we would watch avidly for their result - thank goodness we didnt draw Manchester City!!!  Cheesy

New St station to Marriott, is no more than £3.50. Why is everyone going somewhere else to watch the football? Broadway also has sky and the place where the quiz should be held is the sports lounge. (just a thought like). There are four sky boxes on five screens so you shuldn't have to miss any match.

And yes you are quite correct, the cheapest place to park is the casino, it is also the safest. I believe the marriott was charging £11 a night car parking over a weekend night, that is hearsay but off more than 3 seperate people.
